About this video
"Sairam, The State of Maharashtra is reeling under severe drought and the Govt. of Maharshtra has already declared apprx. 11,000 villages as adversely affected by this. The organization have immediately swung into action to perform Sai Seva to Narayanas (needy brothers and sisters) who are adversely affected, and have identified 20 most affected villages and carried out an initial survey of 10 villages based on the information available at the Collector's Office and also feedback received from District Presidents and Co-ordinators. The organisation would immediately begin with: Free distribution of Amrit Kalash consisting of of Rice; Wheat/Jowar; Toordal; Jaggery; Groundnut and milk power along with Swami's Photo and Vibhuti Prasadam to about 2,000 families for two month period, who have absolutely no foodgrains. These families are under severe drought conditions not only for this year but for the last couple of years Apart from this, many cattle are starving and on death bed due to acute deficiency of calcium. The requirement of calcium per cattle is apprx. 1 litre per month, and the organisation have already started supply of calcium through veterinary camps at Atpadi in Sangli District: The Sri Sathya Sai Medicare Mobile Dispensaries will visit all the said villages and organise Medical Camps with free medical services and free medicines. Supply of potable water to 20 villages, which are not effectively covered under the Govt.'s supply and thus remained neglected without any water supply. The initial survey carried out covers 12 villages for Water supply and 625 families for Amrit Kalash distribution. The complete survey of 20 villages and about 1200 families is underway and will be circulated in next a couple of days."
