En un satsang que tuvo lugar en la presencia divina en California, EE.UU., el 19 de junio de 2016, un devoto preguntó por qué se crearon las almas y por qué es difícil darse cuenta de nuestra verdadera divinidad.
Y esto es lo que dijo Swami:
Pregunta: Bhagavan, ¿por qué se crearon las almas en el primer lugar? Además, si en realidad somos divina, ¿por qué existe la amnesia a ese hecho, y que realmente largo viaje a través vidas para tratar de volver a aprender estas lecciones y darse cuenta de nosotros mismos?
Swami: Usted me pregunta por qué he hecho lo que he hecho hasta ahora? (Risas y aplausos)
Devoto: Sí. ¿Por qué se crearon las almas?
Swami: ¿Por qué los niños nacidos de padres? Es para dar alegría a los padres que los niños nacen. Cuando los padres ven a su propia imagen reflejada en sus hijos y cuando los ven crecer a su propia imagen, se sienten tanta alegría. No hay alegría que coincide con la alegría de ser un padre o un tutor de otro ser.
Dios estaba solo en su swabhava nirakara, es decir, su verdadera naturaleza, que no tiene forma. Luego, con el fin de amarse a sí mismo, se separó de sí mismo. Así es como nació la creación.
Desde el río, se puede tomar un cubo de agua; de la cubeta, se puede tomar una jarra de agua; de la jarra, se puede tomar una taza de agua. Toda el agua es el mismo, pero está siendo separada del río en varios contenedores. Así es como todos estos seres con diferentes cuerpos y sus vidas han llegado a existir. Los contenedores son diferentes, pero la esencia o el principio de la vida es la misma.
Todo esto ha sido diseñado de tal manera que, un día, cuando se va más allá del recipiente exterior y mira en el principio divino interior, usted sabrá que usted y el Padre son uno.
Los niños aman el juego llamado 'búsqueda del tesoro'. Usted se esconde pistas, corren y las encuentran; primero se encuentran con uno; de ahí que reciben otro; luego otro, hasta que finalmente encontrar el 'tesoro'. La vida es un juego y Dios le da una pista, y luego otro, y así sucesivamente. Es muy emocionante y estimulante! (Risa)
¿Usted ha visto a niños jugando? Consiguen tan emocionada! Cada vez que encuentran una nueva verdad, que corre de vuelta a sus padres a compartir sus hallazgos. La vida se convierte en un viaje emocionante de explorar y experimentar esta verdad sobre sí mismo. La vida es un juego, juegala; la vida es un sueño, hazlo realidad; la vida es un reto, cumple con ella; la vida es el amor, que lo disfruten!

In a satsang held in the divine presence at California, USA, on 19 June, 2016, a devotee asked why were souls created and why is it hard to realise our true divinity.
And here is what Swami said:
Question: Bhagawan, why were souls created in the first place? Also, if we are indeed divine, why is there amnesia to that fact, and that really long journey over lifetimes to try to relearn these lessons and realize ourselves?
Swami: You are asking Me why I have done what I did so far? (Laughter and applause)
Devotee: Yes. Why were souls created?
Swami: Why are children born to parents? It is to give joy to parents that children are born. When parents see their own reflection in their children and when they see them growing up in their own image, they feel so much joy. There is no joy that matches the joy of being a parent or a mentor of another being.
God was all alone in His nirakara swabhava, that is, His true nature, which is formless. Then, in order to love Himself, He separated Himself from Himself. That is how creation was born.
From the river, you can take a bucket of water; from the bucket, you can take a jug of water; from the jug, you can take a mug of water. All the water is the same, but it is being separated from the river into various containers. That is how all these beings with different bodies and lives have come into existence. The containers are different, but the essence or the life principle is the same.
The whole thing has been designed in such a way that, one day, when you go beyond the outer container and look into the inner divine principle, you will know that you and the Father are one.
Children love the game called 'treasure hunt'. You hide clues, they run and find them; first they find one; from there they get another one; then another, until finally they find the 'treasure'. Life is a game and God gives you a clue, and then another one, and so on. It is so exciting and exhilarating! (Laughter)
Have you seen children playing? They get so excited! Every time they find a new truth, they run back to their parents to share their findings. Life becomes an exciting journey of exploring and experiencing this truth about oneself. Life is a game, play it; life is a dream, realize it; life is a challenge, meet it; life is love, enjoy it!
