CELEBRACIONES Ganesh Chaturthi - SATHYA SAI GRAMA, Muddenahalli - 25 de agosto, 2017   Sesión matinal: Ganesh Chaturthi se celebra a lo grande en Sathya Sai Grama, Muddenahalli en la Divina Presencia. Un día en la gloria del líder de los Ganas que elimina los obstáculos en el camino de la vida, el elefante favorito de dios con cabeza - Señor Ganesh. El Salón Premamrutham llevaron a cabo una gran divinamente hermosa estatua de Ganesh, sentado junto a su madre, la diosa Gowri. The primary focus would be on child health and women's health, especially pregnant women, as they are the most neglected sections of the underprivileged societies of the world, and named the project as "DIVINE MOTHER AND CHILD HEALTH PROGRAM". Medical screening will be conducted in many countries (India, Singapore, Malaysia, Japan, Fiji, Australia, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Nigeria) between September 1 and September 3, 2017 for various health related issues under the guidance of Sri Sathya Sai Sanjeevani Hospitals, as per the guidelines formulated by World Health Organisation (WHO) and UNICEF's directives. GANESH CHATURTHI CELEBRATIONS - SATHYA SAI GRAMA, MUDDENAHALLI - AUGUST 25, 2017   Morning Session: Ganesh Chaturthi was celebrated in a grand way at Sathya Sai Grama, Muddenahalli in the Divine Presence. A day spent in glory of the leader of the Ganas who removes the hurdles in the journey of life, the favourite elephant headed God – Lord Ganesh. The Premamrutham Hall staged a huge, divinely beautiful statue of Ganesh seated beside His Mother, Goddess Gowri. The day began with Bhajans invoking the blessings of Lord Ganesh. Bhagawan arrived at the Hall blessing all the devotees by showering the Akshata, or sacred rice, on everyone. Ganesh Stutis and the Ganesh Suktam were chanted in adoration of dear Lord Vinayaka. The first speaker of the day, blessed by Bhagawan was Sri Nagashankara Sharma, Kannada lecturer at the Sri Sathya Sai Centre of Human Excellence and the Pre University College at Muddenahalli.  He elucidated beautifully in Kannada, the Syamantakopayana, the story of Krishna and the Syamantaka gem. After having broken the pride of Chandra (Moon), Lord Ganesh as a comfort to devotees who might incur hurdles in life by seeing the moon on the Chaturthi day, gives a solution in the form of Syamantakopayana, the tale which when heard, removes the difficulties in a devotee's life. Russia is the largest country in the world by surface area, covering more than one-eighth of the Earth's inhabited land area. After a brief stop over and a change of flight, everyone landed in Moscow on August 27th morning. It was 10 degrees, but the warmth of the devotees who had come to receive them was overwhelming. A traditional welcome of bread and salt at the Domodedovo Airport awaited the entourage. Bread and Salt is a welcome greeting ceremony in many European cultures. Ladies dressed in their national costumes from Kazakhstan, Belorussia, Lithuania, Ukraine and Russia presented Swami's entourage with a loaf of bread, which had a salt holder on top of the loaf. Everyone had to take a bite of the bread dipped in salt. Professor Ravichandran, a faculty from the Sri Sathya Sai Centre for Human Excellence at Muddenahalli had arrived two weeks prior, to make all the arrangements. An alumni who passed out from the Prasanthi Nilayam Campus in the mid eighties, Prof Ravichandran had studied and worked in Russia for 20 years on Bhagawan's command. Having lived for two decades in Russia, he speaks, reads and writes the language fluently, and has also been the main coordinator for all the devotees who visited India for Swami's Darshan. After a 45-minutes drive, the entourage reached their hotel situated in the centre of Moscow. Some of the devotees joined Swami's entourage on this tour in a steamer through River Moscow. It was indeed a sight to see the Kremlin, Red Square, St Basil's Cathedral, and many other places of historic importance. The guide explained in detail about the various events during the time when Soviet Union existed. Everyone returned back to the hotel for lunch, as preparations were underway for the Public Satsang in the evening, which was to be broadcast LIVE. As Swami entered the Satsang Hall, over 500 pair of eyes, filled with teary gratitude and love, turned towards Him, just like the sunflower which turns itself, no matter what, towards the direction of the sun. Mr Dmitry welcomed Swami and yet again placed himself at His Lotus Feet for having given this unique opportunity to be in His presence in Russia. Yet again, a group of professional singers, poured their heart out through soul stirring songs, and the energy in the Satsang Hall elevated to many notches higher. When they went to take Swami's blessings after their performance Swami spoke to each one of them, revealing various aspects of their lives, and they were spell bound, and ofcourse overwhelmed! To know more, click HERE Arrival at the Public Satsang Musical offering by the devotees DIVINE VISIT – LITHUANIA – AUGUST 29, 2017     In 2007, when Bhagawan revealed during the Shivaratri discourse that He would undertake a world tour shortly, no one ever imagined it would turn out to be this way! 30 countries and still counting, with new countries added every year. 2017 gave much joy to devotees of Turkey, France, Taiwan, Russia and now, it was the turn of the European country, Lithuania. Swami's entourage flew to Vilnius from Moscow, and landed around 10:30 a.m. This was the first country among all the 30 countries, where a large number of devotees had gathered, most of them dressed in sarees, and all of them chanting Rudram at the Airport! After the traditional welcome of bread and salt, everyone proceeded to the residence of Mrs Catherine, Swami's host in Lithuania. In fact Swami had spotted her son Daniel in Germany earlier in the year, during the European Youth Meet, and had even asked him to speak. The drive through the streets of Vilnius was indeed a spectacle. The charm of the old city, cobbled streets, buzzing road-side cafes, the architectural marvel of the cathedrals, and above all there was a certain sense of culture and spirituality in the air. Swami manifested at the entrance of over two centuries old apartment building, which has been declared as a UNESCO heritage building. As He walked into the residence of Mrs Catherine, He was yet again welcomed with bread and salt with ladies in their traditional attire. Swami went up to His room, and spoke to the family. Looking at the room next to His, He asked whose it was, and pat came the reply from Patricia, the seven-year-old sister of Daniel, that it was her room. Swami was quick to reply saying, "Only children can be God's neighbour, as every child is God!" Swami went to reveal many aspects of the family, including details about Patricia's grandmother and even great grandmother, much to the surprise of Mrs Catherine, as all of it was absolutely true! The phenomenal subtle form is so baffling, that one tends to forget many times that Swami out of His mercy continues to be present amidst His most cherished creation, man! An early lunch was served to everyone, and after a brief rest, Swami proceeded to the venue of the private Satsang, a few yards away from Mrs Catherine's residence. The four steps that have been declared in our Shastra define this very clearly. Salokyam – you come to the abode of God; Sameepyam – by servitude you become nearer to God; Sarupyam – you start becoming like God, you look like God; Sayujyam – finally you merge in God. Seva will bring you all the way till Sayujyam. That is the merging with the Lord. Do not have fear. Fearlessly and selflessly you must go ahead and serve. By that only you will be able to reach Swami, you will become Swami and finally merge in Swami.  Where there is love, you don't feel tiredness or effort. If there is tiredness, it means there is no love. Love gives immense strength. You will never get tired. Love's energy is so powerful. You can go on and on and on. Selflessness is the quality, the Guna of the entire creation. God to Nature to man, everybody should follow this path of selfless love. Unity is very important when you are serving. The one who cuts the vegetable, the one who boils it, the one who cooks it, serves it, all of them have to work in unity. Then only the food will be tasty and everybody will enjoy the food. The way to assess whether you are growing well in service is by the humility you develop. The more you are serving in the right way, the more humble you will become. The more you serve, the more you become like Me, the more humility should come, the more compassion should come, more patience should come.
