INAUGURACIÓN DE DEDICADO LABORATORIO DE CATETERIZACIÓN CARDIACA PEDIÁTRICA EN SRI SATHYA SAI SANJEEVANI HOSPITAL, NAYA RAIPUR, CHHATTISGARH EL 29 DE OCTUBRE DE 2017

El mes de octubre fue un testimonio de la verdad eterna "El amor atrae más amor". En Dr. Praveen Kollipara, Jyoti Corp, tuvimos un campeón que se unió implacablemente para desplegar otro capítulo de Sri Sathya Sai Sanjeevani que aumentaría la capacidad del amor desinteresado. Permitió el apoyo de Rotary Club of Greater Raipur e International Rotary para establecer un laboratorio de cateterismo cardíaco pediátrico exclusivo, que se inauguró el 29 de octubre de 2017 . 3.5 años Ayush de Bhopal fue el primer beneficiario de esta instalación de vanguardia.

La Conferencia Anual de la Sociedad Cardiaca Pediátrica de la India, llevada a cabo en Mumbai (27-29 de octubre), fue testigo de un diluvio de Sri Sathya Sai Sanjeevani en todos los niveles. Tuvimos a los miembros de nuestro equipo médico, cirujanos, especialistas de la red, cardiólogos y personal de enfermería, que presentaron más de 14 documentos que fueron aceptados por el panel de conferencia. Nuestro equipo de Cardiología en Palwal tocó un nuevo hito al completar 200 intervenciones cardíacas pediátricas , todas totalmente gratuitas.

El Canal Nacional ETV otorgó el Premio Life Line a Sri Sathya Sai Sanjeevani, Naya Raipur , que fue recibido por el Dr. Ashish Katewa, Jefe de Cirugía y el Dr. Balaswaroop Sahu, Jefe de Anestesia del Dr. Raman Singh, Ministro Principal Chhattisgarh.

84 Las cirugías cardíacas pediátricas se realizaron en octubre de 2017 y3805 se han realizado cirugías en el Hospital Sri Sathya Sai Sanjeevani, Naya Raipur desde su inicio en noviembre de 2012, con pacientes procedentes de todo el país y otros países en desarrollo.

SERVICIOS PARA PACIENTES
(Octubre de 2017)

Se registraron 920 registros de pacientes ambulatorios durante el mes: 458 nuevos casos pediátricos y462 casos pediátricos revisados y de seguimiento.

De un total de 1375 ECHO realizados este mes, 458 son nuevos casos cardíacos pediátricos como se muestra en la tabla a continuación. También se realizaron 455 exámenes postoperatorios para pacientes internados y TEE y 462 ECO repetidos y de seguimiento médico.

SERVICIOS PACIENTES PARA PACIENTES AMBULATORIOS CARDIACOS (Nov 2016 - Oct 2017)

Desde el inicio del Hospital en noviembre de 2016, 2284 pacientes ambulatorios cardíacos pediátricos han sido examinados y tratados con pacientes procedentes de18 estados del país: Haryana, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Gujarat, Jharkhand, Jammu y Cachemira, Odisha, Punjab, Manipur, Rajasthan, Uttarahand, Bengala Occidental, Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra y Madhya Pradesh.

134 Cirugías cardíacas pediátricas y 190 Intervenciones de cateterismo pediátrico se han llevado a cabo desde octubre de 2017 en el Centro Internacional de Investigación y Cuidado del Corazón del Niño Sri Sathya Sai Sanjeevani, Baghola, Palwal, Haryana. 22 Cirugías cardíacas pediátricas y 40 intervenciones de cateterización pediátrica se llevaron a cabo en el mes de octubre de 2017.

Otro capítulo más se desarrolló en la Misión de Salud de Sri Sathya Sai Sanjeevani, que completa 5 años de operaciones en noviembre de 2017. Después de realizar cerca de 4000 Cirugías Cardíacas Pediátricas Totalmente Gratis, un Cathlab cardíaco pediátrico exclusivo se dedicó al servicio de niños de la nación en el Centro Sri Sathya Sai Sanjeevani para el cuidado del corazón infantil, Naya Raipur, Chhattisgarh, el 29 de octubre de 2017.

El Centro proporcionará intervenciones de cateterismo cardiaco pediátrico sin costo alguno para los pobres del país y varios otros países en desarrollo. Este laboratorio es una bendición para miles de niños que serán sanados aquí en este divino templo de curación. La ventaja de este equipo de vanguardia es que los defectos cardíacos seleccionados podrían cerrarse sin tener que hacer una cirugía a corazón abierto. Los días 29 y 30 de octubre, el Departamento de Cardiología Pediátrica del Hospital, el Dr. Munesh Tomar, el Dr. Yogesh Sathe y el Dr. Atul Prabhu realizaron 4 Intervenciones de cateterismo pediátrico.

La Maestra Ayush Rai, de 3.5 años de Bhopal, es la primera beneficiaria de la Pediatric Cathlab exclusiva en Sri Sathya Sai Sanjeevani, Centro de Cuidado Infantil del Corazón, Naya Raipur. Fue sometido a procedimiento el 29 de octubre y fue dado de alta el 30 de octubre por la tarde.

El enfoque SPIRAL del Programa Divino de Salud Infantil (DCHP)

El Programa Divino de Salud de la Madre y el Niño, que comenzó el 1 de septiembre en 9 países diferentes, llevó a cabo su segundo campamento de detección en varios lugares. A continuación se encuentran las breves actualizaciones de varios lugares.

Raipur, India - Como parte del Mother Support Group , Sai Sanjeevani organizó una demostración de cocina para mujeres embarazadas en Anganwadi con la ayuda de los trabajadores de campo, e informó a las mujeres sobre diversas opciones para mejorar su nutrición utilizando elementos dentro de su presupuesto . Fundación Sai Ananda Malasia realizó el segundo programa de examen de salud el 1 de octubre de 2017. Se examinaron 19 niños que consistían en refugios de Malasia y Sri Lanka de acuerdo con las directrices proporcionadas. El equipo de visitas domiciliarias de Medicare inició el programa Love Them Serve Them para llegar a los niños necesitados y madres prenatales que no pueden asistir al ashram para el programa de exámenes de salud.

A partir de mediados de septiembre, elvolcán más grande de Bali tuvo un aumento en la actividad, causando una afluencia constante de refugiados. Un niño de 1.6 años de Nigeria fue operado en Sai Sanjeevani, el 3 de octubre de 2017. Sus padres rezan por Sai Sanjeevani en Nigeria.

1y 6m olf Victory de Lagos, Nigeria fue operado por Perimembranous VSD. Su padre es un funcionario y una madre un abogado. Conocieron a Sai Sanjeevani a través de un profesional de la salud en un hospital nigeriano donde a su hijo le diagnosticaron cardiopatía coronaria. Sus padres se hicieron con un préstamo de $ 5000 para financiar su viaje a Raipur. Su padre es rotario, participa activamente en campamentos de servicio social de su club, como chequeos oculares gratuitos, creación de conciencia sobre la salud, etc. Junto con sus pocos amigos, había rehabilitado a una niña abandonada hace 25 años y son sus padres adoptivos y continúan apoyarla hasta la fecha.

Y ahora, con su hijo sanado en esta tierra lejana, reza por un Sai Sanjeevani en Nigeria, por lo que ningún otro padre necesita viajar tan lejos para tratar a él y a su hijo.

The Month of October stood as a testimony to the eternal Truth "Love beckons more Love".In Dr. Praveen Kollipara, Jyoti Corp, we had a champion who rallied relentlessly to unfurl another chapter of Sri Sathya Sai Sanjeevani that would augment the capacity of Selfless Love. He enabled the support from Rotary Club of Greater Raipur and International Rotary to set up an exclusive Pediatric Cardiac Cath Lab, which was inaugurated on 29th October, 2017 . 3.5 Year old Ayush from Bhopal was the first beneficiary of this state-of-the-art facility.

The Annual Conference of the Pediatric Cardiac Society of India conducted in Mumbai ( October 27-29) witnessed a deluge of Sri Sathya Sai Sanjeevani at all levels. We had our medical team members -surgeons, anethestists, cardiologists and nursing staff presenting over 14 papers that were accepted by the conference panel. The conference committee, in an unprecedented gesture, declared Sri Sathya Sai Sanjeevani , Naya Raipur to be the venue for the conference in 2019.

In this edition of The Heart beat, we also share with you the joyous journey of yet another child From Nigeria, Victory who received the Gift of Life from Sri Sathya Sai Sanjeevani Naya Raipur.

Our Cardiology team at Palwal touched a new milestone of completing 200 Pediatric Cardiac interventions , all rendered Totally Free of Cost.

National Channel ETV conferred the Life Line Award to Sri Sathya Sai Sanjeevani, Naya Raipur , which was received by Dr. Ashish Katewa, Head of Surgery and Dr. Balaswaroop Sahu, Head of Anesthesia from Dr Raman Singh, Chief Minister Chhattisgarh.

84 Pediatric Cardiac surgeries were conducted in October 2017 and 3805 surgeries have been conducted at Sri Sathya Sai Sanjeevani Hospital, Naya Raipur since Inception in Nov 2012, with patients coming from all over the country and other developing countries.

920 outpatient registrations were recorded during the month - 458 new pediatric cases, and 462 revisit and followup pediatric cases.

Out of a total of 1375 ECHOs performed this month, 458 are new pediatric cardiac cases as shown in the table below. Also 455 post-operative inpatient & TEE screenings and 462revisit and medical follow up ECHOs were performed.

Yet another chapter unfolded in the Healthcare Mission of Sri Sathya Sai Sanjeevani, which completes 5 years of operations in November 2017. After conducting close to 4000 Totally Free Pediatric Cardiac Surgeries, an exclusive Pediatric Cardiac Cathlab was dedicated to the service of children of the nation at Sri Sathya Sai Sanjeevani Centre For Child Heart Care, Naya Raipur, Chhattisgarh on 29th October 2017.

The Centre shall provide Totally Free of Cost Pediatric Cardiac Cath Interventions for the poor of the country and several other developing countries. This Lab is a boon to thousands of children who will be healed here at this divine temple of healing. The advantage of this state of the art equipment is that selected heart defects could be closed without having to do an open heart surgery. The child can walk back home within a day of the intervention.

Rotary Club of Raipur Greater, Rotary Club of Fort Wayne, under a Rotary Global Grant support this endeavor in a unique collaboration towards Nation Building through healing Little Hearts

The procedures carried out in a Pediatric Cardiac Cath Lab include closure of congenital heart defects, treatment of stenotic heart valves, balloon angioplasty & stenting of congenitally narrow blood vessels, diagnostic angiography in preparation for surgery, permanent & temporary pace marker implantation and radio frequency catheter ablation for resolution of tachyarrhythmias or fast heart beats.

On 29th and 30th October, the Department of Pediatric Cardiology at the Hospital - Dr Munesh Tomar , Dr Yogesh Sathe and Dr Atul Prabhu performed 4 Pediatric Cath Interventions

Master Ayush Rai, 3.5 yrs from Bhopal is the first beneficiary of the exclusive Pediatric Cathlab at Sri Sathya Sai Sanjeevani, Center for Child Heart Care, Naya Raipur. He underwent procedure on 29 October and was discharged on 30 October evening.

IN THE NEWS

A group of eight doctors and five nurses represented our hospital at the 18th annual national conference of pediatric cardiac society of India at Mumbai from 27th to 29th of this month. Dr. Ashish shared our experience with two different surgical techniques in management of Truncus arteriosus, a rare complex problem. Our nurses shared their experience with "fast tracking " following pediatric cardiac surgery in 500 children. They received the second best paper award for their presentation.

11th World Congress on Adolescent Health

Dr Nikhil Shukla, a Dental Surgeon and Program Officer of the Divine Child Health Program presented a poster at the 11th World Congress of the International Association for Adolescent Health held in Delhi from 27th to 29th October.

Defects at birth, Disease, Deficiency, and Developmental delay and Disability:
The SPIRAL approach of Divine Child Health Program(DCHP)

Divine Mother and Child Health Programme which began on September 1st in 9 different countries conducted their second screening camps across various locations. Below are the brief updates from various locations.

Raipur, India - As part of the Mother Support Group , Sai Sanjeevani held a cooking demonstration for the pregnant women in an Anganwadi with help of field workers, educating the women about various options through which they could improve their nutrition using items within their budget . The team particularly used the "Ready-to-eat" food supplement packets distributed free of cost through Anganwadi centers by Chhattisgarh government.

Palwal, Haryana : Child Screening was strated in the 3rd school close to sai Sanjeevani, Palwal. About 103 children were comprehensively screened by the team. Health education sessions were conducted for the school faculty on healthy diet, societal sanitation and anemia.

Chickabalapur District, India : Divine Mother and Child health program could attend to the antenatal care for 430 pregnant mother's. The services were at six primary health care centers in rural parts of six taluks of Chickabalapur District. The teams consisting of Doctors, Volunteers and dietitians are working closely with the Government teams to ensure timely care for the mothers

Sai Prema Foundation FIJI conducted a Divine Mother and Child Medical Camp on the children at the Gospel Hostel for Deaf.A total of 31 children were screened.Majority of the children were prescribed and given medication for treatment and/or prevention of parasitic worm infestations.The dietician gave the children and their care- givers some advice on healthy, nutritious diet and active lifestyle. It was very interesting for the volunteers to learn some sign language from these special children.

Singapore: The second run of the Divine Mother and Child Health Programme in Singapore saw 38 children screened by a team of paediatricians and child psychiatrists. There was also an arts and craft area for the children to express their creativity, and interactive health education lessons for them. Moving forward, we hope to introduce a carnival-like atmosphere to our camps for the children and create a warm, fun and loving environment for them as our little friends learn more about health, exercise and nutrition.

Sai Ananda Foundation Malaysiaconducted the second health screening programme on 1st October 2017. 19 children consisting of Malaysian and Sri Lankan refuges were screened according to the guidelines provided. The Medicare Home Visit Team initiated the Love Them Serve Them programme to reach out the needy children and antenatal mothers who are not able to come to the ashram for the health screening programme.

Starting from mid september, Bali ' slargest volcano had an increase in activity, causing a steady influx of refugees. The medical camp in October was a prompt response to the increasing need of medical care for Mount Agung refugees in Denpasar. Children of the refugees were also provided with psychological support through games and songs in addition to medical screening. A total of 54 children were screened in addition to 150 patients.

1y 6m olf Victory from Lagos , Nigeria was operated for Perimembranous VSD. His father is a civil servant and mother a lawyer. They got to know of Sai Sanjeevani through a health professional in a Nigerian Hospital where his child was diagnosed of CHD. His parents took loan of $5000 to fund their trip to Raipur.His father is a Rotarian, actively participates in social service camps by his club such as free eye checkups, creating health awareness, etc. He along with his few friends had rehabilitated an abandoned infant girl 25 years back and are her foster parents and continue to support her till date.

And now with his child healed in this distant land, he prays for a Sai Sanjeevani in Nigeria, so no other parent need travel so far to get his and her child treated.
