INNER VIEW-By Sri Madhusudan Naidu In Fiji, one morning during breakfast, as the hostess informed Swami about the various dishes being made by different people, Swami exclaimed, "Look how each of the person who cooked is feeling proud that she has created the dish! But the truth is that nothing was truly created by man, it was all created by God and used by man. God gave the five elements from which the plants came using which the food was prepared. If there were no tomatoes created by God in the first place, how can one make tomato chutney! Man merely uses all that has been created by God, so be reminded of this truth at all times!" |

DIVINE VISIT – FIJI – (DAY THREE & FOUR) SEPTEMBER 12-13, 2016 September 12 and 13 saw one of the most wonderful experiences in the company of the Lord on the beautiful island of Malolo Lailai in the picturesque Mamanuca Islands in Fiji. The two day Satsang cum retreat was organised by the Tappoo family and Swami had specially invited some select devotees from Singapore, the United States, New Zealand and Malaysia to be a part of this unique experience. Monday, September 12, 2016 On the morning of September 12, a slight drizzle drenched the landscape, and nature glistened in all its glory. Truly, Fiji is blessed with bountiful blessings of Mother Nature. In the morning, Bhagawan inaugurated the mobile healthcare vehicle, 'Health on Wheels' a project by the youth of Fiji guided by Bhagawan, to cater to the healthcare needs of those who do not have access to quality healthcare. The brand new van stood proudly awaiting the Lord to inaugurate and bless the project. The medical team of volunteers who were going to maintain and run the mobile unit had set up a tent where they had displayed the equipment and charts in the ground floor of the apartment, where the Tappoo family lived. As Swami walked past the displays, He enquired each of the team members on their role. The Tappoo family lived on the fourth floor, and while waiting for the elevator, Swami said, "Just like this elevator, God too comes down to take people up to higher.... |

DIVINE VISIT – FIJI – (DAY FIVE) SEPTEMBER 14, 2016 Day two of the island retreat was filled with more excitement, as there was a lot of fun in store for the chosen group of Bhagawan. A day filled with games and fun filled session on a sand mound in the middle of the Pacific Ocean, and a surreal Satsang in a quaint chapel in the evening. The day promised to be a memorable one with the Almighty Himself. As everyone who had accompanied Bhagawan on the island retreat woke up, memories of the previous day were still fresh in everyone's mind. Breakfast was a colourful affair, as everyone trickled in the dress code for the morning – green. Memories of the previous day were replaced with questions on how the day would unfold and the pleasant surprises that could have been planned by the Lord. The announcement came! A morning of fun and games had been planned on a sand bar which doubled as ocean floor during high tide, and a offshore island during low tide. After breakfast, with the low tide visibly clear, everyone was ferried by a short 7 minute speed boat ride to the island. Beach umbrellas, carpets and Swami's chair were the only props on the island setting the stage for a beautiful couple of hours of divine pleasure in the company.... |

DIVINE VISIT – FIJI – (DAY SIX) SEPTEMBER 15, 2016 Everyone woke up to a bright, sunny and chirpy morning on the island of Malolo Lailai. After breakfast, the chosen group gathered for a Satsang at Bhagawan's villa. The host family, Brother Sumeet, his father Sri Mahendra Tappoo, his mother Smt Maya and his little daughter Saisha, had all prepared a bouquet of songs which they lovingly offered at the Lotus Feet of the Lord. Brother Sumeet sang the song, 'Swagatam Sai' with much devotion. When he sang the line in the song, '…Baba Fiji Padhare…' (Baba has graced Fiji…), he was choked with emotions, and there was not a dry eye in the room! The atmosphere was charged with much gratitude and love for the ever compassionate Lord, for out of the billions of people, sitting at His Lotus Feet at that moment were the chosen fifty! The first speaker of the day was Mr Issac Tigrett who said that the past two days was like a picnic, where each one had brought their picnic basket. Now, when the time to leave had arrived, it was important for each one to look into their picnic baskets and see what one is taking back. The thought provoking and timely advise framed the importance of the past two days, and the lessons Swami had taught everyone during its course. His talk certainly left everyone to ponder and introspect within. The next speaker to be called by Bhagawan was Sri Yugumaran, one.... |

DIVINE VISIT – FIJI – (DAY SEVEN) SEPTEMBER 16, 2016 It was a day of rest for Bhagawan's entourage who were staying at Denarau Island, on the main Island of Viti Levu, which is than 10 kilometres from Nadi. It boasts of eight large resorts and stunning beaches. It was the group's last day in Fiji, and there was much to reminisce about the trip, which began with the auspicious Bhoomi Puja of the Ashram, the island retreat, the wonderful Satsang sessions with the Lord and the intimate moments when the family would serve a meal to Bhagawan. It was simply amazing to witness conversations happen between the Lord and tiny tots, and the simplicity of Swami's answers which they could easily comprehend! One morning while serving breakfast, Brother Sumeet's daughter asked Swami, "Why did God create the earth?" Swami simply replied, "It is just like how your father built the home for you all to stay together and live happily. Likewise, God created this earth as a home for all His children, from insects to birds to beasts and humans. He created rivers and oceans for the fishes, He created the sky for the birds, He created terrain for animals and men, so that all can live as a happy family." The little girl was quick to ask another question, "So are there other earths where people live?" Swami replied by pointing to the other houses seen around from the balcony, "Oh yes! Just as there are many houses around, there are many worlds where beings live. Either they have to visit you or you will have to visit them like neighbours do and you can know them!" A short sightseeing around the island was organised in the evening. An early dinner was served to everyone. During dinner Swami lovingly named the upcoming Ashram.... |

DIVINE VISIT – SINGAPORE – (DAY EIGHT) SEPTEMBER 17, 2016 In the early hours of September 17, the entourage landed in Singapore for a two-day stopover en-route to India. A Satsang was organised in the house of Sri Kishore and Smt Rekha Parekh this morning. Close to 75 devotees had gathered on a Saturday morning at their residence. As Bhajan's were underway, Bhagawan arrived around 11:30 am, to a warm welcome by the Parekh family amidst Veda chanting. Bhagawan asked Sri Narasimha Murthy to address the gathering. Sri Narasimha Murthy shared the highlights of the Fiji trip – Bhoomi Puja of the Sai Prerna Ashram and the inauguration of the mobile medical unit among other solemn and the divine fun aspects, including the lessons that Swami benevolently taught all in the process. Reminding all of the extraordinary times we live in, he urged all to offer themselves at Bhagawan's feet and thereby redeem themselves. The next speaker that morning was Sri C Sreenivas, who began by expressing expressing how he felt an abundance of Love that morning at the Parekh household in Swami's divine presence. He said he witnessed how each one there that morning had come to find the expression to Love, which had sublimated in their Love for the Lord. The other sublime feeling that he found expression that morning was that of Service. He asked everyone present to strengthen these feelings which would eventually help one to transcend from the ordinary to the Divine. Bhagawan's divine message began with a quote of Kabir, "Man remembers God only when he is in trouble, and forgets when he is in good times. Why would the bad times come..... |

DIVINE VISIT – SINGAPORE – (LAST NINE) SEPTEMBER 18, 2016The last day of what had been a very eventful visit by Swami to the Fiji Islands and Singapore, came to a close with a Satsang at the house of Sri Umashankar in Singapore. Brother Umashankar's house exuded a festive look, all set to welcome the Lord. Around 40 devotees had assembled that morning to bask in the Love of the Lord. Swami arrived to a warm welcome by the host family and an offering of two classical songs were beautifully rendered for the Lord by two youth (children of the Singapore devotees). Among the gathered devotees were three reputed musicians - Ustad Rashid Mustafa Tirakwka (Tabla maestro); his son Ustad Shariq Mustafa Tirakwka (Tabla artist) and Sri Sangeet Mishra (Sarangi Maestro). They offered soulful instrumental music which transported all to a timeless dimension. The sound of the sarangi complemented by the tabla in perfect unison made perfect harmony. After the performance, Swami started speaking about the musicians and amazed them by revealing incidents from their lives. Swami also spoke about the early days of struggle of Ustad Shariq Mustafa Tirakwka. He asked the sarangi artist Sri Sangeet Mishra to play the song that he had first started with, which was dedicated to the Mother Goddess. After the song, Swami told the gathering that Sri Sangeet Mishra used to play this song on the banks of the Ganges with tears in his eyes. He was very moved and one could sense his sudden gush of an overwhelming feeling for the Lord. To the young budding musicians in the gathering, Bhagawan said - "Music does not come to everyone. It is a result of three factors - merits of past births, present sadhana and dedication, and lastly the legacy one is leaving for future generations." Swami then called upon Sri Narasimha Murthy to speak. In his talk, he underlined the importance of music in one's life. Quoting great thinkers, he said "Life without Music is a mistake. And Music is for men and women of penance (dedication) and not for the pleasure seekers." Commending the host that morning, he said "Sri Umashankar is an example of inner peace and external success." Speaking on inner peace, he gave anecdotes about the importance of achieving inner peace, which would then bestow external success. He spoke about the treasure that a father shared with his sons while passing on his legacy, and the essence of what he had learnt in his life. Sri Narasimha Murthy shared life's three greatest lessons - - Experience the presence of God everywhere in every moment of life wherever we are, and understand that His Will is the ultimate. - Whomever we meet in your life, human or animal, is by design and has a previous connection. So be kind to them. - Live in the present. Do not brood about the past and worry about the future. Bhagawan's divine message followed next, which was based on the importance of human birth and its purpose. Swami said everyone born comes with a expiry date. What matters is what one does between birth and death. "Human birth is the consummation of perfection in God's creation. Only when one attains one's divinity, does the human birth find fulfillment. By serving others one is serving God. By loving others can one love God. Before loving others, one should love oneself. Just as a sculptor chips away that which is not the idol, one should remove what is not Divine from within. Mind is the basis of all life; a pure mind without attachment and ego turns Godwards. Human birth is the rarest of the rare opportunities." Bhagawan blessed all to be single minded and reorient oneself towards God, and keep God as the center of life, and urged the Singapore devotees to join in selfless service, "One person cannot do it alone." Two birthdays were celebrated in the divine presence - Sri Umashankar and Sri Ravindran. As the candles were being blown Bhagawan had a poignant message, "more than the cake it is the candle that gives a message to all. It burns and melts away, only to give light to others." The Satsang ended with Arati and lunch prasadam. Thus ended, yet again another glorious trip with the Lord, and His entourage boarded the flight back to India in the evening. |
