Contando las ovejas

Fue durante el viaje a Singapur en enero de 2018, que Swami estaba de camino a visitar la casa de un querido devoto, cuando debido al intenso tráfico, el automóvil se movía lentamente. Swami seguía mirando por la ventanilla del automóvil, aparentemente mirando los otros autos en la carretera, y también los altos rascacielos que flanqueaban la transitada carretera.

Después de un viaje más largo de lo habitual, finalmente Swami llegó al apartamento del devoto, donde otros miembros cercanos de la familia Sai de Singapur también se habían reunido para disfrutar de su amor. Mirándolos a todos, dejó escapar un suspiro de alivio y dijo: "Había demasiado tráfico y por eso tardó más de lo normal en llegar hasta aquí. Como tomaba tiempo en el camino, para pasar Mi tiempo primero comencé a contar los autos en la carretera, pero había demasiados, así que perdí la cuenta de ellos.Luego comencé a contar los edificios y también perdí la cuenta de ellos. Finalmente comencé a contar mis devotos, y los encontré a todos ".

Centro Chirayu Chhattisgarh para la excelencia cardíaca con el gobierno de Chhattisgarh

MAÑANA:

La sesión de la mañana del primer día de la Reunión Anual Medioambiental, 2018, se llevó a cabo en el Auditorio Sri Sathya Sai Premamrutham. El programa comenzó con una charla introductoria del Hermano Praveen, el Coordinador Global de Antiguos Alumnos. Dio una charla reveladora que se centró en el origen de los Niños para Sathya Sai, la importancia de mantenerse conectados entre sí como comunidad y también alentó a los estudiantes salientes, los pases recientes, a compartir su parte, a asumir la responsabilidad, en ser parte de la gran misión educativa de Swami. También hizo hincapié en la necesidad de tener sus huellas dactilares en la iniciativa Cada Uno Educar Uno, que trata sobre la educación de un hermano / hermana estudiando en cualquiera de las instituciones de Swami.

SEMANA MEDIA DE ENFERMERÍA PARA SATHYA SAI - SATHYA SAI GRAMA, MUDDENAHALLI - 25 DE FEBRERO DE 2018 (DÍA 2)

El 26 de febrero de 2018, fue la ceremonia de clausura del "Encuentro medio anual" del grupo Alumni 'Niños para Sathya Sai' que se había reunido en los pies de loto de su mentor, guía, fuerza motriz y literalmente de todo. Sentía como si los niños regresaran a su hogar y le contaran todo a su madre: sus logros, sus reveses, sus problemas, sus reconocimientos. La Madre los escuchó y los aconsejó, los alentó y les dio palmadas en la espalda para que pudieran regresar al mundo y trabajar con más celo y entusiasmo.

Swami ingresó al Salón Sri Sathya Sai Premamrutham escoltado por el grupo Vedam. El equipo de Aarogya Vahini se reunió en Sri Sathya Sai Amrutham el 25 de febrero de 2018 para celebrar el establecimiento del primer aniversario del primer centro de diagnóstico y clínica de múltiples especialidades totalmente gratuito de Kolkata, Sri Sathya. Sai Amrutham.

In this issue, we are very happy to share the announcement of passing of the Bill for Sri Sathya Sai University for Human Excellence by the Government of Karnataka.

Counting The Sheep

It was during the trip to Singapore in January 2018, that Swami was on His way to visit the home of a dear devotee, when due to the heavy traffic, the car was rather moving slowly. Swami kept looking out of the window of the car apparently watching the other cars on the road, and also the tall skyscrapers that flanked the busy highway.

After a longer than usual drive finally Swami arrived at the apartment of the devotee where a few other close members of Singapore Sai family had also gathered to bask in His love. Looking at all of them, He let out a sigh of relief and said, “There was too much traffic and so it took longer than usual to reach here. As it was taking time on the road, to pass My time first I started counting the cars on the road, but there were too many so I lost count of them. Then I started counting the buildings and lost count of them too. Finally I started counting my devotees, and I found all of them.”

The eager audience of this divine remark burst in a spontaneous laughter, and so did Swami. But definitely there was more to it than a casual conversation.

To Swami, the uncountable opulence of cars and immeasurable affluence of properties of Singaporeans, don’t interest a bit, however a few pure hearted devotees of Singapore is all that He cares for and is happy to have them with Him always!

The divine shepherd that He is, knows His sheep and His sheep know Him, and in His flock every single sheep counts!

GOVERNMENT - GOD PARTNERSHIP!

Chirayu Chhattisgarh Centre for Cardiac Excellence with Government of Chhattisgarh

In a first-of-its-kind of an initiative of a Government joining hands and working shoulder-to-shoulder with Swami's Sri Sathya Sai Sanjeevani Paediatric Cardiac Hospitals, the Government of Chhattisgarh under the able leadership of Hon. CM Dr Raman Singh, has decided to develop a complete operation theatre facility with ICUs and wards, exclusively dedicated to the children of Chhattisgarh suffering from cardiac ailments, at Sri Sathya Sai Sanjeevani Hospital Naya Raipur. This is being done under the ‘Chirayu Chhattisgarh’ (Long live Chhattisgarh) programme that’s going to be a first venture of its kind, a public private-partnership or call it Government- God partnership if you may, in our hospitals to extend the support to the needy children. This ‘Chirayu Chhattisgarh Centre for Cardiac Excellence’ will be constructed in the Hospital and shall be operational shortly to continue and extend the support of cardiac care to more children beyond the already benefited 1100, so far in 5 years since its inception in Chhattisgarh alone, while the total number of children from across the country and some parts of the world stands at 5200.

Sri Sathya Sai University for Human Excellence

The Government of Karnataka, passed the Bill for the upcoming University, Sri Sathya Sai University for Human Excellence. The Bill was passed in both the houses of Vidhan Soudha equivocally. The University has been given the leeway to start Campuses or regional and study centres anywhere in the State after five years of establishment. It shall be operational from the academic year in June 2018 and shall provide graduate, post graduate and research programmes absolutely free of all cost, including boarding and lodging.

The Half Yearly Alumni Meet was convened on February 24 and 25, 2018 on Swami’s Divine command, held six months after the Annual Alumni Meet held in October, 2017.

MORNING:

The morning session of the first day of the Half Yearly Meet, 2018 was held in Sri Sathya Sai Premamrutham Auditorium.The programme commenced with an introductory talk by Brother Praveen, the global Alumni Coordinator. He gave an insightful talk that centred on the origin of the Children for Sathya Sai, the importance of staying connected with each other as a community and also encouraged the outgoing students, the recent pass outs, in sharing their bit, to shoulder the responsibility, in being a part in Swami’s grand education mission. He also stressed on the necessity of having their fingerprints nailed on the Each One Educate One initiative which is about educating one brother / sister studying in any of Swami’s Institutions.

The next speaker was Sister Achintya whose talk centred on nourishing the growth of that special inner connect with Swami which is very necessary for life as Sai Students. Her talk highlighted a couple of her personal experiences with Swami that strengthened her faith and love for Swami.

The third speaker for the morning session was Brother Rajat, an alumnus from the Sri Sathya Sai Sharadhaniketanam, Mandya Campus. Having passed out recently and having been a direct recipient of Swami’s Love, attention and Grace in this Subtle Form, he spoke with a lot of conviction on identification of his role in Swami’s Mission. He threw light on the fact as to how the little hearts from many of Swami’s campuses started saving money by cutting down on their expenditure for their little desires like ice-cream, chocolates, etc thus putting a Ceiling on desires for a noble cause. He asked the audience to draw inspiration from these enterprising and sincere young buds.

HALF YEARLY MEET OF CHILDREN FOR SATHYA SAI – SATHYA SAI GRAMA, MUDDENAHALLI – FEBRUARY 25, 2018 (DAY 2)

On February 26, 2018, it was the closing ceremony of the ‘Half Yearly Meet’ of the ‘Children For Sathya Sai’ Alumni group that had gathered at the Lotus Feet of its mentor, guide, driving force, and literally everything. It felt like the children returned home and recounted everything to their mother—their achievements, their setbacks, their problems, their accolades. The Mother listened to them and counselled them, encouraged them and patted their backs so that they could go back in the world and work with more zeal and enthusiasm.

Swami entered the Sri Sathya Sai Premamrutham Hall escorted by the Vedam group. He blessed the devotees as the Bhajans were going on, accepting their letters, listening to their prayers, and guiding them. After a full round of the Hall, Swami came back to the stage and signaled for the start of the proceedings. Sri T B Jayachandra, Minister of Law and Parliamentary Affairs, Government of Karnataka, was also present on the stage.

The program started with the Vedic invocation by the Alumni Vedam group who chanted the Durga Suktam.

It was made known to everybody that the Minister had come with good tidings - the Bill for Sri Sathya Sai University for Human Excellence in Gulbarga was passed in the Karnataka Legislative Assembly.

There was a summary of the previous day’s events presented by Sister Vidya Ramsubramaniam, an alumnus of Anantpur Campus, and Brother Sidddharth Sai Amrit, a young alumnus of Muddenhalli Campus. Through talks, group working sessions, and various other activities on the first day of the Meet, a pledge was drafted and finalized to dedicate oneself for Swami’s work. Brother Venu Madhav read out the pledge as every student recited it alongside. It is worth mentioning here that this was the first such Meet where the alumni and the passing out students were present and worked together to bring about a continued environment....

The Aarogya Vahini Team gathered together at the Sri Sathya Sai Amrutham on February 25, 2018 to celebrate the establishment of First Year Anniversary of the first of its kind, completely free-of-cost Multi-Specialty Clinic and Diagnostic Centre in Kolkata, Sri Sathya Sai Amrutham.

With the Divine inspiration of our Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba, since its inception a year back, Sri Sathya Sai Amrutham has been able to touch the lives of 4354 blessed souls through loving, healing, caring and sharing of amrutham – The Divine nectar. With 10 Specialized Departments, Amrutham has been able to cater to 278 Speciality Consultations. 19 cases from Amrutham had been referred for surgeries in different tertiary care hospitals of the country. 47 cataract surgeries were facilitated from Amrutham in the last 1 year.

The First Anniversary Celebration of Sri Sathya Sai Amrutham began with a session of telemedicine with Sri Sathya Sai Sanjeevani International Centre for Child Heart Care & Research, Palwal. Stalwarts in the field of Paediatric Cardiology from Palwal offered their valued consultation to the 4 months tiny tot at Sri Sathya Sai Amrutham. The little child suffering from heart ailment has been referred to a renowned doctor of Sri Sathya Sai Sanjeevani International Centre for Child Heart Care & Research.

The celebration found fulfilment through the felicitation of the panel of doctors who had been selflessly offering their valued consultation for the Mission. Also, the patients who have been blessed with a healthy life after successful procedures conducted at various tertiary care hospitals referred from Amrutham, were also felicitated. 24 patients were also screened on the special day by the distinguished doctors of different Departments.

The day-long celebration concluded with soulful Bhajans, cake cutting and fond remembrance of how Swami guided each selfless volunteer associated with Sri Satya Sai Amrutham. All eyes were left moist with heartfelt gratitude to our inspiration, our Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba.

HOW DO YOU RECOGNIZE GOD? – DIVINE DISCOURSE SUMMARY – KALADY, KERALA – FEBRUARY 28, 2018

It is from the soil of this land (Kerala) that resounded the greatest truth of all times: Sivoham Sivoham Chidananda rupa Sivoham Sivoham. If (Adi Sankara) was born near this River Purna, he attained the wisdom near Narmada and finally attained his true self at the Ganges. This way he fulfilled all the three blessings that were given to him of being born as a human, having desire to know the truth and attaining the company of a noble one. And this is possible for every human who is born on this earth. Even if you develop a desire to know the truth, the company or the blessings of a wise one or the noble one is extremely important.

Truly, you are more blessed than Adi Sankara also. Not just because you are born here in this land as human beings, not also because you have got the desire for liberation but more importantly you have Anadi Sankara Himself teaching you the truth. And this is your greatest responsibility to live up to this great good fortune which has come your way. Unless we put efforts to gain from it, to practise it and benefit from it, all these opportunities will simply go waste. It is the same place, the same river where he cried out to his mother, “Unless you grant me renunciation, I will not be redeemed.” This burning desire to know the truth, know God, know Atman made that little boy so strong that at such a tender age, he walked all the way to gain wisdom. Therefore, ‘Kalady’ also means footsteps. Therefore, these are the footprints of Sankaracharya which you also must follow. Prema and Tyaga are the two footprints that you must follow in order to truly attain the wisdom that Sankaracharya attained.

A devotee’s heart knows the love. And this love is alone the proof of one’s own understanding of God’s presence. Did Prahlada ever see Vishnu as half man, half lion? Then how did he....

Truly the one who feels that everyone belongs to him is a divine person. Because of such few good people, the world is still in the shape that it is in, else it would have broken into pieces. The selfishness of man, the greed and ambition has scaled newer heights with every passing century and today we stand at the verge of a great disaster when a little anger or selfishness of one nation can destroy the whole earth and make it into pieces by use of such destructive weapons.

The hope in this world which is full of this darkness of selfishness is our system of education, the ancient system of education of India which has always produced men and women of sacrifice. A system of education that is based on the very fundamental truth of oneness of whole creation. This truth of oneness of belonging to one single family of humanity is what is being taught in all our educational institutions and soon in the university that is to come up. Therefore, whomever you help, truly you are helping your own self because it is your own people and whomever you harm, you are harming your own self because they are also your own people. This kind of understanding, unless it develops in the minds of young men and women, there is no solution to the problems of the world that exist today.
