The high temperature did not allow me to get up from my bed at all. It was then that Swami appeared in my dream, materialised a green diamond ring and put it on my finger. Just like all the dreams of Swami this too was very refreshing and energising. The result was that the fever vanished by morning and I could present myself to Him in the Puja room. During the morning meditation, I asked Swami, " Last night you came in my dream and gave me a ring and I felt very happy'. He smiled and said, " Yes, that happened in that dream, this is happening in this dream". " This dream!"I was puzzled. "Oh Yes, this is also a dream". "Then why do we not realise that, why do we think it's real?", I asked. What He said to me thereafter is one of the most revealing explanations about the states of existence mentioned in the scriptures which are Jagrita ( Wakeful), Swapna (Dream), Sushupti ( Deep Sleep) and Turiya ( Consciousness). Swami said, " The truth is that all this is a dream that will vanish in time but the consciousness alone is permanent. Just like in the dream you did not realise that it was a dream till you woke up, likewise in this wakeful-dream also you are unable to realise its unreal nature. Only when you wake up from this dream that you would know what the reality is". "But Swami", I argued, " This dream looks so real, so convincing". "That's true, the deeper the details in the dream the more convincingly real it appears to be. The more your senses are engaged in this dream the more real it appears to be. Therefore the wise ones, withdrew their senses from the sense objects and abided in their true selves all the time so that they don't get falsely convinced about its unreal nature". That made a lot of sense to me as I observed that those dreams where the details were finer, I felt more involved and believed that's it was real till the alarm rang and I was woken up relieved that the Tiger that was chasing me was after all in the dream! "Aye! I am that alarm to wake you up from this dream", He revealed with a playful smile. An exclusive Paediatric Cathlab was dedicated to the service of the nation at Sri Sathya Sai Sanjeevani International Centre For Child Heart Care and Research, Palwal on June 28, 2017. This Lab built at a cost of Rs 4 crores will be a boon to thousands of children who will be healed here at this divine temple of healing. The advantage of this state-of-the-art equipment is that a child's heart hole can be closed without having to do an open heart surgery. The child can walk back home within a day of the intervention. The Team led by Dr Munesh Tomar performed three Cath interventions on the first day. About 20-25% of children can be treated through this intervention procedure. A Cath procedure typically costs anywhere between Rs 75,000 ans Rs 500,000. But it is the mercy of Bhagawan that this intervention will be offered totally free of cost!   DIVINE VISIT - SAN JOSE - JUNE 17, 2017   Youth from many states of North America had arrived the previous night, and were busy with preparations for the Youth Meet in the morning. Close to 150 young adults gathered at the Balaji Temple situated in San Jose. Swami and His entourage reached the venue at around 10 a.m.  Swami first commanded Brother Bobby Patel to talk about 'Sai Ashraya' which has been licensed by the State of California. Two kids have been taken off the streets permanently, and they are now in the journey for recovery, going through therapeutic care. Swami has given this project to the Sai youth of America, and Brother Bobby urged all the youth to participate, and be a part of this self-transformation journey. Thereafter, Brother Sumeet Tappoo addressed the youth talking about the Seva projects in Fiji, and stressed on the need for all the youth to be a part of Swami's continuing mission.  Two young adults who have been a part of 'Sai Ashraya' and 'One World One Sai', spoke about both the initiatives to the youth. Soulful Bhajans and devotional songs by Brother Sumeet Tappoo elevated the divine energy in the room. Swami then commanded Sri B N Narasimha Murthy to address the intimate gathering, and spoke of the various role Swami adorns including that of the head of a family by devotees around the world, apart from being the Creator. He narrated a couple of instances to drive home this theme.  Swami continued on the same subject and said, "Family that prays together, stays together. Family does not pray, cannot stay. If God becomes the common thread to this garland of family members, then the garland will stay together. If there is no thread, then flowers will fall apart. Likewise, the presence of God in the lives of the members of the family is like thread in the garland. It keeps all the beautiful flowers together and increases the beauty of that garland, which is worth offering to God." To know more, click HERE Public Satsang at Santa Clara Convention Centre in the evening Swami with Youth Volunteers DIVINE VISIT - SAN JOSE - JUNE 19, 2017   It was a historic day for the Centre for Human Development team who had been working very hard for Bhagawan's visit to North America, for the Bhoomi Puja. Noted priest from Chennai Sri Sathasivom had arrived at the site in the early hours of the morning, and started the rituals. The land, about 17 acres is situated in Los Gatos Hills, and nestled in the lap of Mother Nature. The Centre for Human Development will serve as a Centre for all like-minded individuals, whose main focus will be to serve the community in every way possible. Swami arrived with His entourage at the site, where over 60 devotees had already assembled. The Navagraha Homa was performed in the divine presence, and as a couple of Shiva Bhajans were being sung by Brother Sumeet Tappoo, Bhagawan gave a white Shivalingam to the priest. The overjoyed priest led the way to an area, where the bricks were to be laid by the devotees. Swami instructed the Shivalingam to be placed in the womb of Mother Earth. A hole was dug into the ground and the Lingam was placed, and Swami declared that this will protect the entire land and its surroundings. He also said this symbolises the coming together of Shiva and Shakti, Prakriti and Purusha, which will give birth to this Centre that will serve humanity. What a moment it was to witness this! Soon after breakfast, Swami and His entourage proceeded to 'People Shores', a company which has been set up to transform unemployed young adults in economically challenged communities in the US, into empowered and confident professionals. Sri Murali Vullangati, an ardent devotee of Bhagawan for many decades, has another Organisation in Bangalore 'Rural Shores', with the same vision.  Swami lighted the ceremonial lamp and marked the inauguration of the new office. He blessed the office, where a separate cabin was set aside for Him, as the 'Chairman'. It is indeed very overwhelming to see the same love and devotion of the devotees even today. Nothing has changed! The two youth who have been taken on board by 'Sai Ashraya' were also present. One of the youth, a girl, spoke to all and offered her gratitude after being homeless for more than five years. To know more, click HERE Inauguration of new office of 'People Shores' by Bhagawan Lighting of the ceremonial lamp Bhagawan speaking to the Ashraya Youth DIVINE VISIT - SANTA ROSA AND ORANGE COUNTY - JUNE 21, 2017   It was one of the most beautiful mornings, the sun was slowly rising, birds chirping, large jungle squirrels running everywhere, and deers wandering in search of food. Man, nature and God in perfect harmony! After breakfast was served, Sri Digvijay Patel prayed to Swami if everyone could go on a drive to see the world famous Armstrong Redwood trees. Swami granted His blessings, and along with the entourage and others guests proceeded on the 45-minutes drive to the National Park. Packed snacks accompanied everyone, and a memorable morning awaited all! As the cars were parked, there seemed to be a bit of confusion with regard to the path which had to be taken to see the largest Armstrong trees, the main attraction of the visit. Though there were discussions, and even a map to trace the path, Swami urged everyone to walk, led the way and it seemed as if He knew exactly where He was going, and everyone followed Him. At a very human level, it may seem it is His first visit, but after all He is the Creator, a fact that is forgotten, when one is around Swami and interacts closely. It was indeed a beautiful and pleasant morning. After breakfast, Swami and His entourage proceeded to Irvine, a short 20 minutes drive to the residence of Sri V Mahadevan and his devout wife Smt Sarojini. Their family along with few other ardent devotees had gathered to welcome Swami. As Swami reached their residence, He was welcomed with Purna Kumbham. After a few Bhajans, the grand children chanted Sai Rudram. Last year, Swami had advised them to learn the meaning as well, and they had obeyed Swami's command and learnt this time. And when Swami asked them whether they knew the meaning, they beamed with joy. Swami was extremely pleased with the children chanting the Sai Rudram, and asked who taught them. The children answered that it was their parents. Swami was quick to reply that the moral is whatever parents do children will follow. Swami narrated the story of Albert Einstein and the cats. Even though there was one hole for the mother cat in the door to go in and out of the room, Einstein wanted to make more holes when she gave birth to kittens. Even though he was a great scientist, it was his wife who advised him that kittens would follow their mother, and hence more holes were not required. Everyone returned in the afternoon, all set for the final Satsang of the glorious trip. In the evening, about 30 devotees had gathered, and after Bhajans, Swami beckoned Mr Bob Bozzani to speak from his heart to the gathering. Mr Bozzani was quick to say that what emanates from his heart is love. He spoke about his first visit to Prasanthi Nilayam in 1974, and the very first interview which Swami had granted to his group of 30 devotees. When Mr Bozzani walked out of the interview room, he told his wife "This is God, and I am staying back here."
