6 Interesting facts about Mahabharat and Vedvyas

Mahabharat is Hindu religion's greatest and most important epic. There are many interesting facts associated with Mahabharat that most people don't know. The story of Mahabharat was so long and complicated
that Vedvyas kept thinking for years whom to make its sutra dhar.

Mahabharat has been written with one lakh shlokas. After finishing writing it, Vedvyas was himself not satisfied with it.

Lord Ganesha was pleased to write this epic and he agreed, but with a condition. It was that he would write it completely in one go and if stopped in between, he won't finish it.

Vedvyas agreed on his condition, but added his condition as well, which was Lord Ganesha would only write a shloka after he has understood it well. Lord Ganesha agreed. Vedvyas used to speak shlokas fast and
after every 10-15 shlokas used to say a very tough one, which Ganesha
would take some time to understand. In the meanwhile, Vedvyas would make
more new shlokas.

Vedvyas had written Mahabharat before the actual incident of Mahabharat. He was himself a part of this epic.

In Mahabharat, Vedvyas has mentioned about the beginning of this world till the kalyuga.

Even after writing complete Mahabharata, Vedvyas wasn't happy about it. He always used to feel something missing. One day he was sitting with a bad mood when Narad Muni crossed him. Narad suggested him that
his epic is based on worldly things and this is why he is unhappy about
it.
