En un satsang que tuvo lugar en la presencia divina en Australia, el 24 de septiembre de 2015, un devoto preguntó el destino o el libre albedrío.

Y esto es lo que dijo Swami:

Pregunta: Swami, el destino o el libre albedrío?

Swami: Usted ve, el destino y sin tendrá que ser entendido en su contexto. Para un niño que está en la escuela primaria, el sol sale y se pone; esa es la verdad. Incluso si le dice que el sol no se levanta o conjunto, que no va a entender en todo lo que pueda ver el amanecer y el atardecer y va a pensar que lo que ve es correcto y lo que dice es incorrecto. Sin embargo, el mismo niño crece un poco más y es capaz de entender mejor. Puede explicarle que hay un sistema solar y que el sol no se levanta ni engarzar; es la Tierra la que gira, y así sucesivamente. Él va a entender y ser capaz de apreciar el hecho.

Si ir más lejos, también será capaz de decirle que el sol es, en esencia, una serie de reacciones químicas que tienen lugar en el interior del sol, lo que resulta en este tipo de energía. Realmente no es una bola de fuego, pero es varias reacciones, dentro de una bola de gas, pasando de forma continua. Esta es la forma en que puede explicar con más detalle a él a medida que crece. voluntad divina, el destino o sin tendrán que ser entendido en el contexto adecuado. Para aquellos que todavía están llenos de la conciencia del cuerpo, deben entender que existe el libre albedrío. Es como cuando vas en la carretera y, si no conoces el camino, se le pide a alguien en qué dirección que debe tomar, la derecha o la izquierda; y si te dice la derecha, y que vaya a la derecha, se llega a su destino por un camino particular. Si él dice a la izquierda y vaya a la izquierda, se llega a donde quiere ir usando ese camino. Puede haber muchos caminos hacia el mismo destino. Llegar al destino es el destino. La forma de llegar a él; cuál es el camino que toma, es el libre albedrío. En última instancia, cada uno tiene que cumplir con su destino - pero ¿cómo lo hace es su libre albedrío. Por lo tanto, el libre albedrío tiene un papel limitado.

En última instancia, lo que está 'escrito' va a pasar - pero si va a suceder de una manera más agradable, de una manera más fácil, o de una manera más dura o más difícil depende de su libre albedrío. Si entrega su libre voluntad de Dios, entonces Dios prevalecerá sobre todas sus decisiones, todas sus circunstancias y ayudarle a alcanzar su destino de la manera más segura y más corto. Si usted tiene una mente tan ocupada y la conciencia del cuerpo tanto, que tienden a ignorar la voz de Dios y escuchar, en cambio, el ruido de su mente, entonces su mente le llevará de acuerdo a su lugar. Al final, la única persona perfecta es aquel que no tiene una cuenta o una voluntad propia, porque se ha entregado completamente su mente y su voluntad al Señor y sigue solamente la dirección del Señor. A menos que haya alcanzado ese tipo de perfección y han rendido absolutamente todo lo que tienes a Dios, usted tiene que entender que el libre albedrío y el destino existen. Su destino es lo que en última instancia va a lograr, y cómo se va a lograr que se define por su libre albedrío. Llene su mente con pensamientos positivos y sentimientos puros y Dios lo guiará al lugar correcto.

In a satsang held in the divine presence at Australia, on 24 September, 2015, a devotee asked destiny or free will.

And here is what Swami said:

Question: Swami, destiny or free-will?

Swami: You see, destiny and free-will have to be understood in context. For a child who is in primary school, the sun rises and sets; that is the truth. Even if you tell him that the sun doesn't rise or set, he is not going to understand at all as he can see the sun rise and set and will think that what he sees is right and what you say is wrong. However, the same child grows a little more and is able to better understand. You can explain to him that there is a solar system and that the sun does not rise or set; it is the earth that revolves, and so on. He will understand and be able to appreciate the fact.

If you go further, you will also be able to tell him that the sun is, in essence, a host of chemical reactions that go on inside the sun, resulting in this kind of energy. It is really not a ball of fire, but it is several reactions, within a ball of gas, going on continuously. This is the way you can further explain to him as he grows up. Divine will, destiny or free-will have to be understood in the right context. For those who are still full of body-consciousness, they must understand that free-will exists. It is like when you go on the road and, if you don't know the way, you will ask someone which way you should take, the right or the left; and if he tells you right, and you go right, you reach your destination by a particular path. If he says left and you go left, you reach where you want to go using that road. There might be many roads to the same destination. Reaching the destination is destiny. The way you reach it; which path you take, is free-will. Ultimately, everyone has to fulfil their destiny -- but how you do so is your free-will. Therefore, free-will has a limited role.

Ultimately, what is 'written' is going to happen -- but whether it will happen in a nicer way, in an easier way, or in a tougher or more difficult way depends on your free-will. If you surrender your free-will to God, then God will prevail over all your decisions, all your circumstances and help you reach your destination in the safest and shortest way. If you have such a busy mind and so much body consciousness, that you tend to ignore the voice of God and listen, instead, to the noise of your mind, then your mind will take you according to your place. In the end, the only perfected person is one who does not have a mind or a will of his own, for he has completely surrendered his mind and will to the Lord and follows only the Lord's direction. Unless you have reached that kind of perfection and have absolutely surrendered everything that you have to God, you have to understand that free-will and destiny exist. Your destiny is what you will ultimately achieve, and how you will achieve it will be defined by your free-will. Fill your mind with positive thoughts and pure feelings and God will guide you to the right place.
