La fuente de la alegría y la sabiduría está dentro de ti

En un satsang que tuvo lugar en la presencia divina en Roma, Italia, el 21 de abril de 2016, un devoto preguntó: ¿cuál es el significado de la renuncia y el desapego, y cómo alcanzar ese estado.

Y esto es lo que dijo Swami:

Pregunta: ¿Puede explicar el significado de las palabras 'renuncia' y 'desapego'? ¿Cómo podemos llegar a ese estado?

Swami: Desprendimiento o la renuncia se llama vairagya. Para lograr esto, se requiere otra cualidad, que se llama viveka, o discriminación. Discriminación le ayuda a comprender lo que se debe mantener y lo que debe ser abandonado. Le ayuda a entender lo que es bueno y lo que no lo es; lo que es real y lo que es irreal. Sólo una vez que tenga la discriminación, va a ser capaz de entender y practicar el desapego. Renunciar a todo lo que no es cierto es la renuncia o vairãgya. Por lo tanto, renuncia no significa renunciar a cualquier cosa y todo sin discriminar. Con un sentido de discriminación, renunciando a sólo aquello que es irreal, lo que es falso, que es la mentira - que es el desapego. Esto no significa que usted renuncia a todo y cualquier cosa. Se puede utilizar el mundo a su alrededor, pero no se le atribuye. Todas las cosas que están a su alrededor - su familia, su trabajo, sus relaciones, sus conocimientos - todo esto puede ser objeto de un uso. Sin embargo, lo hacen con un sentido del conocimiento de que todo es irreal y que no debería estar unido a él. Es posible alquilar un taxi para ir a un lugar determinado, es posible que el taxi gustaría mucho, pero no te unido al taxi, porque en su mente, usted ha discriminado y sabe que no pertenece a usted. Sólo se han contratado para llegar a su destino, y por muy agradable y cómoda que sea, al final se ha salido de ella y dejar que se vaya. Este conocimiento le ayudará a permanecer al margen.

Se ha hecho tarde. Las respuestas a todas sus preguntas están dentro de ti. El libro de todas sus respuestas es correcta en su mano; se puede leer por sí mismo. Usted no tiene que depender de alguien para leerlo a usted cuando usted ya está educado. Por lo tanto, todo lo que desea solicitar a mí aquí, yo estoy dispuesto a responder por usted dentro de sí mismo. Usted debe encontrar el silencio, tanto física como mental, y cortar todo el ruido, por lo que se puede escuchar mi voz interior. Todo lo que todavía tiene que pedir, que no se puede responder de esta manera, estar seguro, si tiene verdadero anhelo para encontrar las respuestas, Swami proporcionará las respuestas de muchas maneras. Mis bendiciones están en abundancia, pero sólo se pueden llevar tanta agua como el tamaño de la embarcación. Por lo tanto, usted tiene que hacer esfuerzos para beneficiarse de Mi Gracia. Con Mi Gracia y su esfuerzo, nada se puede lograr. Yo bendigo para que todos a hacer esfuerzos y darse cuenta de la verdad de su Divinidad, arrojar lejos todas las capas de falsedad, y estoy en el estado de felicidad siempre. Ser feliz, hacer felices a los demás, a continuación, Swami será feliz.

Y esto es lo que dijo Swami:

Pregunta: Swami, trato de ser una especie e individuo compasivo. Trato de llevar una vida de amor y servicio, sin embargo, muchas veces se me dice, "Usted no está haciendo un buen trabajo." Swami, no soy vegetariano. Lo he intentado, pero no funciona para mí. Tengo un montón de malas miradas e incluso los malos pensamientos de la gente, incluso los devotos de Sai! También me dijeron que debería tener miedo de usted, porque no soy un devoto de Sai Baba.

Swami: ¿Quién te enseñó todo eso? (Risas) El temor de Dios es impartido por personas que no han entendido a Dios. Daiva preethi, beethi papá, Neethi Sanga (amor por Dios, temor al pecado y moralidad en la sociedad) - este es el camino. El temor de Dios y el amor por el pecado no dará lugar a la moral; que dará lugar a la mortalidad.

Sin embargo, usted es su propio juez; que se conoce mejor. Usted mismo sabe si su hambre será satisfecha por comer un poco o comer mucho. Otras personas no pueden saber lo que debe ser servido a usted, para satisfacer su hambre.

Lo que las personas dicen o no dicen es la segunda parte de su pregunta. En primer lugar, hay que entender por sí mismo lo que hay que hacer para ser un buen ser humano.

Que es un devoto de Sai Baba? 'Devoto' no es un título que puede reclamar para sí mismo. Sólo Dios debe decirle que usted es un devoto y, si no lo hace, no se puede decir que eres uno.

¿Dónde está el Dios que te dice? Él está dentro de ti. Desde dentro, Él le dirá. Cuando usted habla la verdad, tu corazón te dice que has dicho la verdad. Cuando usted se acuesta, tu corazón te dice que estás mintiendo.

Nadie más puede decir si lo que está haciendo es correcto o incorrecto. Por lo tanto, se olvidan de lo que otros dicen! Piense en lo que dice tu corazón, ya que es lo que estoy enseñando. ¿Cuánto tiempo vas a vivir en base a lo que otros dicen? Es una vida artificial. Usted está constantemente haciéndose pasar por otra sólo para complacer a otros o simplemente para estar en su buenos libros.

Primero pregúntese: "¿Cuál es mi opinión acerca de mí mismo? ¿Puedo mirar en un espejo y decir que yo soy bueno?"Si es así, no es necesario la confirmación de cualquier otra persona, porque Dios dentro de usted le está diciendo si está bien o mal.

Narasimha Murthy acaba de hablar sobre el momento en que Jesús estaba predicando. Había gente poderosa que dijo: "Usted no está enseñando correctamente. Usted es una blasfemia! Estáis mal guiando a la gente!"¿Jesús se preocupa de él? El sabía en su corazón que estaba haciendo lo correcto. Si algo está bien, aunque un millar de personas vienen y dicen que es un error, no va a convertirse en mal. Si algo está mal, incluso si miles vienen y dicen que es correcto, no va a convertirse en la derecha.

Cuando usted es bueno, todo a su alrededor, todo el mundo que te rodea también será buena. Los verás en esa visión de la bondad que se desarrollará desde el interior. Por lo tanto, no van por lo que otros dicen o piensan.

La espiritualidad es un viaje individual. Usted debe tomar sobre sí mismo para descubrir lo que eres, lo que eres y cómo eres. Usted debe hacer todo lo necesario para convertirse en la persona que va a agradar a Dios en su interior. Si por favor Dios, que satisfaga a todos. Si trata de complacer a todos, no se puede agradar a Dios. Pide a Dios que está dentro y Él le guiará a la manera de ser, y no se preocupe por otras personas. (Aplausos)

A pesar de todo es la voluntad de Dios, Él permite que el niño tenga un poco para su propio uso

En un satsang que tuvo lugar en la presencia divina en Turquía, el 3 de abril de 2017, un devoto preguntó si todo es la voluntad de Dios, entonces, ¿por qué los seres humanos otorgado con libre albedrío.

Y esto es lo que dijo Swami:

Pregunta: Si Dios ordena todo, ¿qué pasa con la libre voluntad de los seres humanos?

Swami: Por amor, un padre da el dinero suelto a su hijo. El padre ha ganado ese dinero, pero le da al niño a pasar de la manera que el niño quiere, sólo por su alegría. El niño puede gastar imprudentemente, o puede gastar con sabiduría, basado en la bondad del niño - pero, ¿cuál sería el niño que tiene fe completa en el padre y el padre ama hacer? Él tomaría ese dinero y dar de nuevo al padre, diciendo: "Padre! Usted sabe mejor cómo gastarlo en mí. Como lo pueden hacer mal uso, por favor tomarlo, y decide cómo gastar en mí. A cuidar de mí en todos los sentidos. Sin que se lo pregunte, le proporcionará todo. ¿Por qué quieres que me diera este dinero? Te lo quedas. Voy a pedirle directamente para lo que quiera, porque espero que más que a mí. Puedo mal uso de ella, pero nunca mal uso de ella ".

De la misma manera, Dios es el Padre y el hombre es el niño. A pesar de todo es la voluntad de Dios, Él permite que el niño tenga un poco para su propio uso. El niño que piensa, 'Oh! Ahora tengo libre albedrío, me deja hacer lo que quiera,' puede mal uso de ella, mientras que aquellos que son totalmente dedicado a Dios se le diga: "Me rindo mi mente, mi voluntad, todo a Ti. Va a cuidar de mí, así que no necesito nada de esto porque no me fío de mí mismo. Puede que un mal uso."Así es como la voluntad de Dios se ha otorgado a todos los seres humanos, pero si el hombre no se rinde de nuevo de vuelta a Dios, no lo tomará, al igual que el padre no tomaría el dinero dado a su hijo.

La espiritualidad se refiere ya sea a cuando el niño crece y se convierte en el padre sabio, usando su voluntad correctamente, o simplemente entregarse a Dios, convirtiéndose en un devoto y el uso de su voluntad correctamente. Anoranîyan mahato maheeyan - más grande que el más grande o más pequeño que el más pequeño; ya sea que debe ser tan grande como el mismo Dios, o él debe convertirse en pequeño, pequeño, pequeño, como un siervo de Dios, y la entrega. Estas son las dos formas en que su voluntad se funde con la voluntad de Dios. Esa es la verdad detrás de la libre voluntad.

The fountain of joy and wisdom is within you

In a satsang held in the divine presence at Rome, Italy, on 21 April, 2016, a devotee asked, what is the meaning of renunciation and detachment, and how to reach that state.

And here is what Swami said:

Question: Can You explain the meaning of the words 'renunciation' and 'detachment'? How can we reach that state?

Swami: Detachment or renunciation is called vairagya. To attain this, another quality is required, which is called viveka, or discrimination. Discrimination helps you to understand what is to be kept and what is to be given up. It helps you understand what is good and what is not; what is real and what is unreal. Only once you have discrimination, will you be able to understand and practice detachment. Giving up all that which is not true is renunciation, or vairagya. Therefore, renouncing does not mean giving up anything and everything without discriminating. With a sense of discrimination, giving up only that which is unreal, which is untrue, which is untruth – that is detachment. It does not mean that you give up everything and anything. You can use the world around you, but do not be attached to it. All the things that are around you – your family, your job, your relations, your knowledge – all this can be put to use. However, do so with a sense of knowledge that it is all unreal and you should not be attached to it. You may hire a taxi to go to a certain place, you may like the taxi very much, but you do not get attached to the taxi, because in your mind, you have discriminated and you know it does not belong to you. You have only hired it to reach your destination, and however nice and comfortable it might be, in the end you have come out of it and let it go. This understanding will help you remain detached.

It has become late. The answers to all your questions are within you. The book to all your answers is right in your hand; you can read it for yourself. You do not have to depend on somebody to read it out to you when you are already educated. Therefore, all that you want to ask Me here, I am ready to answer for you within yourself. You must find silence, both physical and mental, and cut off all the noise, so that you can hear My voice within. All that you have yet to ask, which cannot be answered this way, be assured, if you have real yearning to find the answers, Swami will provide the answers in many ways. More than anything else, Swami, the Embodiment of all the Wisdom, is right within you. Connect to that Swami within and find the answers within. Nobody should die of thirst sitting on the banks of a river. The fountain of joy and wisdom is within you. Do not keep yourself thirsty. Plunge within and drink from that nectar of Divinity within. Practice and perfect it.

My blessings are in abundance, but one can only carry so much water as the size of the vessel. Therefore, you have to make efforts to benefit from My Grace. With My Grace and your effort, anything can be achieved. I bless you that you all will make efforts and realise the truth of your Divinity, shed away all the layers of untruth and abide in the state of bliss always. Be happy, make others happy, then Swami will be happy.

Fear of God and love for Sin will not lead to morality; it will lead to mortality

In a satsang held in the divine presence at California, USA, on 19 June, 2016, a devotee asked how to cope with all the challenges and others expectation, and should one develop fear for God.

And here is what Swami said:

Question: Swami, I try to be a kind and compassionate individual. I try to lead a life of love and service, yet many times I am told, "You are not doing a good job." Swami, I am not a vegetarian. I have tried, but it doesn't work for me. I get a lot of bad looks and even bad thoughts from people, even Sai devotees! I am also told that I should be fearful of You because I am not a Sai Baba devotee.

Swami: Who taught you all that? (Laughter) Fear of God is taught by people who have not understood God. Daiva preethi, papa beethi, sanga neethi (love for God, fear of sin and morality in society) – this is the way. Fear of God and love for Sin will not lead to morality; it will lead to mortality.

However, you are your own judge; you know yourself best. You yourself know if your hunger will be satisfied by eating a little or eating a lot. Other people cannot know what should be served to you, to satisfy your hunger.

What people say or don't say is the second part of your question. First, you must understand for yourself what you need to do to be a good human being.

Who is a devotee of Sai Baba? 'Devotee' is not a title you can claim for yourself. God alone must tell you that you are a devotee and, unless He does so, you cannot call yourself one.

Where is the God who tells you? He is within you. From within, He will tell you. When you speak the truth, your heart tells you that you have spoken the truth. When you lie, your heart tells you that you are lying.

No one else can tell you whether what you are doing is right or wrong. So, forget what others are saying! Think of what your heart says, as that is what I am teaching. How long are you going to live based on what others say? It is an artificial life. You are constantly pretending to be somebody just to please others or just to be in their good books.

First ask yourself, "What is my opinion about myself? Can I look in a mirror and say that I am good?" If yes, you do not need anybody else's confirmation, because God within you is telling you whether you are right or wrong.

Narasimha Murthy just spoke about the time when Jesus was preaching. There were powerful people who said, "You are not teaching correctly. You are blasphemous! You are misleading the people!" Did Jesus worry about it? He knew in His heart that He was doing the right thing. If something is right, even if a thousand people come and say it is wrong, it will not become wrong. If something is wrong, even if thousands come and say it is right, it will not become right.

When you are good, everything around you, everyone around you will also be good. You will see them in that vision of goodness that you will develop from within. Therefore, do not go by what others say or think.

Spirituality is an individual journey. You must take it upon yourself to find out what you are, who you are and how you are. You must do whatever it takes to become the person that will please God within. If you please God, you will please everyone. If you try to please everyone, you may not please God. Ask God who is within and He will guide you how to be, and don't worry about other people. (Applause)

Though everything is God's will, He allows the child to have a little for his own use

In a satsang held in the divine presence at Turkey, on 3 April, 2017, a devotee asked if everything is God's will then why are human beings bestowed with free will.

And here is what Swami said:

Question: If God ordains everything, what about the free will of human beings?

Swami: Out of love, a father gives pocket money to his child. The father has earned that money, but gives it to the child to spend it the way the child wants, just for its joy. The child may spend it unwisely, or may spend it wisely, based on the goodness of the child – but, what would the child who has complete faith in the father and loves the father do? He would take that money and give it back to the father, saying, "Father! You know best how to spend it on me. As I may misuse it, please take it, and you decide how to spend it on me. You take care of me in all ways. Without my asking, you provide everything. Why do you want to give me this money? You keep it. I will ask you directly for whatever I want, for I trust you more than myself. I may misuse it, but you will never misuse it."

The same way, God is the Father and man is the child. Though everything is God's will, He allows the child to have a little for his own use. The child who thinks, 'Oh! Now I have free will, let me do as I want,' may misuse it, whilst those who are totally devoted to God will say to Him, "I surrender my mind, my will, everything to You. You will look after me, so I don't need any of this because I don't trust myself. I may misuse it." That is how God's will has been bestowed on every human, but unless man again surrenders it back to God, He will not take it, just as the father would not take the money given to his child.

Spirituality refers either to when the child grows and becomes the wise father, using his will correctly, or simply surrendering it to God, becoming a devotee and using His will correctly. Anoraneeyan mahato maheeyan – bigger than the biggest or smaller than the smallest; either he should become as big as God Himself, or he should become small, small, small, as a servant of God, and surrender. These are the two ways that your will merges with God's will. That is the truth behind free will.
