Swami estaba de visita en el campus de las niñas en Nallakadirenahalli, un verdadero paraíso en la tierra para aquellas chicas que, debido a la pobreza podría haber sido privado de esta educación y terminó siendo casado fuera en su adolescencia. Una chica narró su historia lágrimas en los ojos de los problemas que tuvo que enfrentar en su infancia debido a la pobreza y la privación, pero gracias a Swami que ahora estaba estudiando en la universidad de Swami y estaba a la espera de un mañana más brillante dedicada al servicio de la sociedad.
El devoto estadounidense que escuchó el discurso conmovedor fue visiblemente emocionado y se sometió a Swami con los ojos húmedos, 'Swami necesitamos este tipo de niños en América Latina para cambiar'.
Swami respondió espontáneamente: "De hecho, voy a enviar a estos niños en todo el mundo, como un agricultor que esparce las semillas por todas partes. Ellos tomarán las raíces y crecer hasta convertirse en gigantes espirituales en esas geografías y proporcionar sombra de amor a aquellos abrasador en el calor terrenal."
Luego, se volvió a los niños y dijo: "Usted es Sai Estudiantes y el nombre mismo define las cualidades que debe tener. SAI es sinónimo de servicio - Adoración de iluminación (Karma-Bhakti-Jñana). 'Cuando tomamos la oportunidad que se nos da por Él; eso es cuando cambiamos, nos hacemos mejor, crecer y evolucionar como seres humanos.'
Teníamos unas celebraciones de Dasara aquí. Tuvimos un montón de Homas, yagas, yagnas. Fue maravilloso. Swami dijo que había una gran cantidad de deidades, dioses y diosas aquí porque cada vez que cantan el nombre y ofrece algo a ellos, que vienen aquí a aceptarlo. Y personalmente tengo la suerte porque vi muchas de estas manifestaciones. En el Ganapati Homa, allí mismo, me gustaría ver Ganapati a la espera de recibir el ahuti (Oblaciones). Vi Devi, Shiva, Ganas. Este lugar estaba abarrotado debo decir, no sólo en la tierra, sino también en el cielo! Era como demasiada gente alrededor. Todos estaban aquí para ver las grandes festividades.
Después de la yagna, todos los voluntarios que habían trabajado tan duro, día y noche para hacer la vida de todos cómodo y feliz, especialmente en un lugar como este donde las instalaciones son muy limitadas, al final Swami quería ir alrededor y bendiga a cada uno de estos voluntarios que estaban sentados en Premamrutham. La mayoría de ellos habían tomado las hojas largas de sus puestos de trabajo; 10 a 12 días para servir aquí. Había alrededor de 300 voluntarios. Para cada persona, les dio atención. Pero esperó a escuchar a cada persona y bendiga a cada uno sin ningún ápice de prisa o frustración o ansiedad porque todos le habían servido. Era su turno para dar la espalda. Era su turno para servirlos en cualquier forma que pudiera. Me preguntaba cuánta compasión es eso. Al final algunos voluntarios se levantó y dijo: 'Muchas gracias por darnos esta oportunidad.' Inmediatamente, Swami dio la vuelta y dijo:
"Muchas gracias por tomar esta oportunidad (Para hacer algo para Dios, de hacer algo por la sociedad, hacer algo por los demás)!"
Swami dijo que siempre doy oportunidad porque quiero que todos usan la oportunidad y convertirse en mejores personas. De lo contrario, sólo estamos perdidos en nuestro propio ser. Mera Khana, Mera Sona, Mera Ghar, Mera Bachche (mi comida, mi sueño, mi casa, mis hijos)! Se crea oportunidades para que podamos pensar en los demás.
Confieso, si Swami no tendría que venir de esta manera y me hizo hacer lo que estoy haciendo hoy en día, por mi cuenta, sin embargo inspirado y dedicado que podría haber sido, no habría aceptado este tipo de cosas. Probablemente, un poco de Narayan Seva (Usted sabe que el fin de semana Narayan Sevas!), Una vez en 'Comprobar Seva' dos semanas (¿Quién va a ir allí. Voy a enviar el dinero. Usted ir y hacer Seva!) Que hizo este tipo de Seva en el pasado, de una manera muy limitada. Pero no estábamos dispuestos a sacrificar nuestros domingos; ninguno de nosotros estaban tomando esto mucho esfuerzo para hacer el bien a la sociedad. Hubiéramos hecho algún fragmento de nuestra propia manera limitada. Porque, Swami encontró una manera para mí y para todos de hacer las cosas, todos estamos haciendo. De lo contrario, nos hubiéramos perdido en 'I' y 'mío' para el resto de nuestras vidas. Se da oportunidades. Corresponde a nosotros para aprovechar esta oportunidad. Cuando tomamos esta oportunidad; eso es cuando cambiamos, nos hacemos mejor, crecer y evolucionar como seres humanos.

Después de Satsang en Sri Sathya Sai Premamrutham (El lugar Satsang en Muddenahalli), Swami iba a volver a Sri Sathya Sai Anandam (Su residencia). No sé lo que ha desencadenado esta conversación, pero Narasimha Murthy Sir pregunté a Swami.
'Swami! Se tenía previsto que los últimos diez años, usted sería el gasto de esta manera, haciendo estos muchos proyectos de aquí en Muddenahalli? ¿O fue un cambio que haya realizado en su itinerario en cualquier momento?
Pensé que esto era una pregunta interesante porque Swami sí dijo que iba a estar allí durante 96 años y tuvimos una idea acerca de cómo va a ser. Una pregunta interesante que venga después de Swami estar aquí durante siete años! No se le ocurrió a nosotros antes. Pero contento de que él le preguntó. Swami pensó por un momento. Él no respondió de inmediato. A los pocos segundos de pausa; Él estaba sopesando sus palabras. Y luego dijo:
"¡Lo ves! Ya se ha previsto que los últimos diez años que pasarán en Muddenahalli, física o no física. Se suponía que debía pasar la última parte de Muddenahalli. Por eso me dieron el templo hecho en la cima de la colina y que quería pasar los últimos diez años de mi vida en este lugar ".
Así que eso era parte del plan. Esto significa que, incluso si hubiera continuado físicamente, habría llegado aquí, cambió su base y habría hecho lo que quería hacer porque tenía muchas promesas que cumplir. Había prometido Madiyal Narayan Bhat que llevaría adelante la Misión. Ahora, si usted comienza a mirar hacia atrás en las cosas; Se puso Narasimha Murthy Sir de Brindavan, de repente, él vino aquí sin discusión con nadie, que anunció la apertura de una nueva universidad aquí. Llegó hasta el final, por lo que tomó mucho de interés a pesar de su delicado estado de salud, para hacer el Bhoomi Puja por sí mismo. Él elige sus palabras con mucho cuidado.

No me extenderé en el lado 'situación' de las cosas. Lo dejaré para su imaginación. Pero la situación era tal que no podía haber llegado y se quedó aquí. Él dijo,

Por lo tanto, la idea más amplia de trabajo de aquí en los últimos diez años y haciendo lo que tiene que ver él está intacto. Eso no ha cambiado en el plan. Pero hay una aberración menor o desviación o cambio en el plan original. Hizo que el cambio de modo que el plan principal es ejecutado independientemente de que físicamente alrededor o no. Y cualquiera que viene y ve lo que está pasando aquí, van a ser abrumado porque esto no es posible por un grupo de personas absolutamente poco profesional. Ellos no pueden hacer esto. Es necesario muchos años de experiencia para hacer lo que se está haciendo aquí. Y eso es exactamente Swami y es por eso que las cosas están sucediendo aquí!

Swami was visiting the girls campus at Nallakadirenahalli, truly a heaven on earth for those girls who owing to poverty could have been deprived of such education and ended up being married off in their teens. A girl narrated her tearful tale of troubles that she had to face in her childhood due to poverty and deprivation, but thanks to Swami that she now was studying in Swami's college and was looking forward to a brighter tomorrow dedicated in service to the society.
The American devotee who heard the soulful speech was visibly moved and submitted to Swami with moist eyes, 'Swami we need such children in America to change America'.
Swami responded spontaneously, "Indeed, I am going to send these children all around the world, like a farmer who scatters the seeds all around. They will take roots and grow into spiritual giants in those geographies and provide cool shade of love to those scorching in the worldly heat."
Then He turned to the children and said, " You are Sai Students and the very name defines the qualities that you must have. S-A-I stands for Service - Adoration- Illumination (Karma- Bhakti- Jnana). Therefore, the way of a Sai student is to serve with love and attain enlightenment! You don't have to do anything else, but simply follow the very essence of your existence, the very name that you bear, the name of Sai Student and I shall look after the rest."
Who on earth could define the essence of Sai Student so succinctly but Sai Himself, who painstakingly prepares these seeds of His students to be sown in the soil of the hearts of the entire humanity, for its redemption!

Excerpts from Sri Madhusudan Naidu's talk at 'Tattva Sameeksha' (Nov 3, 2018), Sathya Sai Grama, Muddenahalli
'When we take the opportunity given to us by Him; that's when we change, we become better, we grow and evolve as human beings.'
We had beautiful Dasara Celebrations here. We had plenty of homas, yagas, yagnas. It was wonderful. Swami said there were a lot of deities, gods and goddesses over here because every time you chant the name and offer something to them, they come here to accept it. And personally I was blessed because I saw so many of these manifestations. In the Ganapati Homa, right there I would see Ganapati waiting to receive the Ahuti (Oblations). I saw Devi, Shiva, Ganas. This place was overcrowded I must say, not only on the earth but also in the sky! It was like too many people around. They were all here to see the great festivities.
After the yagna, all the volunteers who had worked so hard, day and night to make everybody's life comfortable and happy, especially in a place like this where facilities are very limited, at the end Swami wanted to go around and bless each of these volunteers who were seated in Premamrutham. Most of them had taken long leaves from their jobs; 10 to 12 days to serve here. There were around 300 volunteers. To each person, He gave attention. But He waited to listen to every person and bless each without any iota of hurry or frustration or anxiety because they all had served Him. It was His turn to give back. It was His turn to serve them in whatever way He could. I was wondering how much compassion is that. At the end some volunteer got up and said, 'Thank you so much for giving us this opportunity.' Immediately, Swami turned around and said,
"Thank you so much for taking this opportunity (To do something for God, to do something for the society, to do something for others)!"
Swami said I always give opportunity because I want everybody to use the opportunity and become better people. Otherwise, we are only lost in our own selves. Mera Khana, Mera Sona, Mera Ghar, Mera Bachche (My Food, My Sleep, My House, My Children)! He creates opportunities so that we can think of others.
I confess, if Swami would have not come like this and made me do what I am doing today, on my own, however inspired and devoted I might have been, I would have not taken up this kind of stuff. Probably, a little bit of Narayan Seva (You know the weekend Narayan Sevas!), once in two weeks 'Cheque Seva' (Who will go there. I will send the money. You go and do Seva!) We did these kinds of Seva in the past, in a very limited way. But we were not willing to sacrifice our Sundays; none of us were taking this much of effort to do good for the society. We would have done some bit in our own limited way. Because, Swami found a way for me and for all to do things, we are all doing. Otherwise, we would have been lost in 'I' and 'Mine' for the rest of our lives. He gives opportunities. It is up to us to take this opportunity. When we take this opportunity; that's when we change, we become better, we grow and evolve as human beings.

'The larger idea of working from Muddenahalli in the last ten years is intact. Swami made the minor deviation so that the major plan gets executed; whether physical or otherwise'
After Satsang at Sri Sathya Sai Premamrutham (The Satsang venue in Muddenahalli), Swami was going back to Sri Sathya Sai Anandam (His residence). I don't know what triggered this conversation but Narasimha Murthy Sir asked Swami.
'Swami! Was it planned that the last ten years, You would be spending it this way, doing these many projects from here in Muddenahalli? Or was it a change that You made to Your plan on the go?'
I thought this was an interesting question because Swami did say that He was going to be there for 96 years and we had some idea about how it's going to be. Interesting question to come after Swami being here for seven years! It didn't occur to us before. But glad that he asked. Swami thought for a while. He did not respond immediately. A few seconds of pause; He was weighing His words. And then He said,
"You see! It was already planned that the last ten years I will spend in Muddenahalli, physical or not physical. I was supposed to spend the last part in Muddenahalli. That is why I got the temple made on top of the hill and I wanted to spend the last ten years of My life in this place."
So that was part of the plan. It means, even if He had continued physically, He would have come here, shifted His base and would have done what He wanted to do because He had many promises to keep. He had promised Madiyal Narayan Bhat that He would take forward the Mission. Now, if you start looking back at things; He got Narasimha Murthy Sir from Brindavan all of a sudden, He came here without discussion with anybody, He announced the opening of a new university over here. He came all the way, took so much of interest despite His failing health, to do the Bhoomi Pooja all by Himself. He went up the hill to do the Bhoomi Pooja for the Mandir over there. He had this plan which He had started to execute from 2009 onwards because He was preparing for the final ten years of the Avatarhood. Now what changed - He said - is the fact that He could not do it physically. That alone changed. And that happened because of 'Samaya' and 'Sandarbhamu' (Time and Situation). Each word of Swami is extremely important. He can use any third word or the fourth word as a matter of fact or the casual conversation. He chooses His words very carefully.
"Because of Time and Situation, I could not do what I wanted to do, then."
And then He briefly explained. He did not want to split the hair.
"My time; I could not continue because My body was failing. I had taken upon Myself so much of difficulties of the world that the body had to undergo continuous damage for the sake of the others. Therefore, My time did not permit Me to continue. And the situations too!"
I will not elaborate on the 'situation' side of things. I will leave it for your imaginations. But situation was such that He could not have come and stayed here. He said,
'That is why I had to make a small change'.
So, the larger idea of working from here in the last ten years and doing what He got to do is intact. That has not changed in the plan. But there is a minor aberration or deviation or change to the original plan. He made that change so that the major plan gets executed irrespective of whether physically around or not. And anybody who comes and sees what's happening here, they will be overwhelmed because this is not possible by a bunch of absolutely unprofessional people. They cannot do this. You need lot of years of experience to do what is being done here. And that exactly is Swami and that is why things are happening here!
