It is not without reason, till date, Hanuman happens to be the only devotee who rose to the level of God for whom temples are built all over the country and many other countries and complete form of ritualistic worship, the Shodashopachara (Sixteen fold worship) is offered. Swami has erected the statues of many gods, prophets and messiahs at the Hill View Stadium in Prasanthi Nilayam. But the highest and the tallest figure is of Hanuman. It is not without reason Baba offered His appreciation to that great devotee who proclaimed this greatest truth which a human being is capable of.

(Lord! When I am feeling I am the body, I am Your servant. When I contemplate and go a little into myself and realize the divine spark within me, I am a part and parcel of Yourself. When I realize the ultimate truth, You and I are ONE! This is my firm conviction!)
This is what Hanuman said when Bhagawan Rama asked him 'Who are you?'
The first stage of Dasoham symbolizes 'Living for God'. The second stage is when you are part and parcel of God symbolizing 'Living with God'. Ultimately, the statement You and I are One symbolizes 'Living in God'.

Don't think I am crazy or mad or very audacious! After Hanuman, if anybody can say those words it is Madhusudan and nobody else! I have seen him as servant of God who gave everything to God. I have seen him as part and parcel of God. Today, I see him as God! (Applause)
You and I can also attain that state. How do you do it? Absolute surrender! Absolute selflessness! It is easy to say but most difficult to tread that path.
Bhagawan Sri Krishna said, "Tam Eva Saranam Gaccha, Sarva-Bhavena Bharata, Tat-prasadat Param Shantim, Sthanam Prapsyasi Sasvatam"
(This is the path. This is the one and only path! Surrender to Him with all your might, heart and soul. By His Grace, you will attain infinite peace that passeth understanding. You will attain eternal state in the Divine realms.)
This is exactly what Madhusudan did. But let me tell you that it was not a cakewalk for him. I have seen his troubles, trials and tribulations. I have seen him in the absolute state of poignancy, melancholy and sadness.
'Nayam Atma Balaheenena Labhyah' declares the Upanishad. God cannot be attained by the weak minded. God is only for those who are ready to sacrifice everything and choose Him exclusively, giving up the whole world.
Jesus said, "Whoever wants to come after Me, let him deny the world and take up his cross and follow Me."
"There are many who are ready to share the heaven with Jesus. But there is none to bear the burden of His cross" said a great saint, Thomas à Kempis from Germany.
Today, Sri Madhusudan has become a Sadguru because he manifested the courage to take up the burden of the cross of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba!
What is the burden of the cross of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba? It is the same as the burden of the cross of Jesus Christ. What is the burden? The burden is the sorrow and misery of mankind which the prophets want to mitigate.
"One who comes to save the world shall share its pain", said Mahayogi Aurobindo. All these Masters were ready to share the pain of you and me. So did Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba and in our own times Sri Madhusudan.
Don't think I am crazy. I know what I am speaking. I am 75 years old and not a boy. I lived with Baba for more than 40 years in His physical form and in subtle form I have been with Him every day from the beginning. That is why I am saying this.
There was a time when Baba used Madhusudan as His communicator, just communicating His messages. Just like errand boy. At that time he was called a 'communicator'. It was the first phase of 'Sankarshana' what Swami said, 'Attracting men, women and children whom He wanted to Himself'. That was the first three and a half years of the subtle phase.
Then came the phase when Madhusudan emptied himself of himself! This is very important. You become a vehicle for God when you empty yourself of yourself. If you have purity of heart you will easily grasp this. Empty yourself of yourself and God will fill you and use you as His vehicle. Madhusudan was a vehicle in this phase of 'Sandarshana'. Swami worked through him.
Today, the third phase of 'Sankramana' is starting and now Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba is manifesting in this body called Madhusudan. Let you, I and the whole world of devotees understand this. There are no two. Sri Madhusudan and Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba are one and the same! (Applause)
Then you may ask why two chairs are kept? The chair is kept in the honor of that most beautiful personality, the most selfless personality which manifested as Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba. You and I can never forget it. The world cannot forget it. Many centuries down the age people will talk of this wonderful story, the divine romance between God and man.
In the last eight years, 18 new educational campuses and a university, three super-specialty hospitals in India, 12 ashrams in almost every continent of the world (and another 12 coming up!) were established by Bhagawan through Madhusudan. But this is not His Mission. The mission is to make you and me into God.
It is your good fortune, my good fortune that you are present here on this momentous day when the phase of 'Sankramana' is starting.
