Swami nos da orientación sobre cómo para dirigir nuestras vidas en estos tiempos difíciles y cómo los cambios están afectando a buena del mundo y nuestro conocimiento de una familia global. Él nos da una idea de cómo lograr una mayor compasión, la bondad, el amor y la preocupación por todas.

Es tiempo para llegar a conocer unos a otros ya nosotros mismos mejor. Estamos todo el tiempo preguntando, "¿Quién eres tú, que estás" en el mundo exterior, pero se olvida de preguntar: "¿Quién soy yo?" Este es un momento en que todos se preguntan "¿Quién soy yo?" Por lo menos, alguna parte del día en que se hace esta pregunta, que es importante. De lo contrario, no se sabe quién es el hombre en el espejo es. Usted sabe todo el mundo. Es una oportunidad buena para todo el mundo, y espero que todos los devotos están haciendo buen uso de este momento en que son capaces de entrar y hacer las preguntas correctas al igual que lo que importa en la vida y lo que no importa. Esa es mi opinión. La gente debe pensar así.

Hemos herida a nosotros mismos en el mundo durante tanto tiempo, para relajarse a nosotros mismos que tomará algún tiempo. Tenemos atascado en este arbusto espinoso. Como se quita la espina de la espina por espina, cuanto más puro que se convierta. Cuanto más puro que hace, más amoroso, el más compasivo, más conectada a convertirse. Muchas personas están experimentando esto ahora. Esto es bueno, no sólo para los devotos pero todo el mundo. Las personas están cuestionando lo que se trata todo esto en el mundo de hoy. Este bloqueo, este aislamiento nos muestra cómo todo el mundo está separado de todo. No existe una cura, por lo que su dinero no sirve de nada hoy en día, sus relaciones no son de utilidad en la actualidad. Puede ser un príncipe o un mendigo, que son igualmente susceptibles a esta enfermedad.

La naturaleza nos está diciendo que todos hemos sido creados iguales. Su riqueza no te hace más grande o más pequeño, su conocimiento no te hace más mayor o menor medida. Algunas personas son al menos el pensamiento de este tipo, no todos, porque no es posible que todos puedan ver el mundo de esta manera. Sin embargo, en aquellos con incluso una pequeña inclinación espiritual, esta idea se está fortalecido ahora. Cada vez es alimentada. Esto es importante para el mundo. Le estaba diciendo a algunos que hay que agradecer a este virus por ayudarnos a entender lo que importa en la vida y lo que no.

La vida es tan frágil; se puede morir en el momento siguiente. Toda su riqueza y el conocimiento no pueden evitar que eso suceda. La muerte vendrá a ti y que está haciendo que la gente despierte a esta idea. Esto ayuda voluntad, como a veces se necesita estos golpes duros de lo contrario la gente no se despiertan. Duermen otro lado pensando que de esta manera continuará para siempre y nada va a salir mal, ya que tienen dinero, pero eso no se sostiene más. Esto crea miedo. Sin embargo, la más rica y más pobre se están convirtiendo ahora igual.

En las semanas y meses a partir de ahora las economías sufrirán y todas aquellas personas que amasaron una enorme riqueza a través de propiedades, mercado de valores y otras inversiones, todos verán sus fortunas disminuyen. De pronto se darán cuenta de que los cincuenta años que trabajaron para construir este imperio no es nada hoy porque la gente quiere más de los alimentos instalaciones de cinco estrellas, la gente quiere la salud más que los precios de mercado de valores y las personas quieren seguridad más grandes nombres y las relaciones. De repente, todo esto va a aparecer como baratijas, no tendrá sentido. Así, al menos la mayor parte del mundo debe despertar a estas ideas, esta es mi pensamiento.

Por supuesto, en Satya Yuga, en el tiempo de Rama, había algunos demonios también. El mundo se crea con la dualidad, pero a medida que los números se vuelven menos, es como un buen rejuvenecimiento de las viejas ideas. Para los países occidentales, especialmente, es una necesidad. En los países de la India, que sabemos acerca de muchas de estas cosas. Sabemos sobre el karma. Sabemos de nacimiento y muerte. Sabemos acerca de Dios. Sabemos acerca de la reencarnación. En la India, la gente está más acostumbrado a estas ideas, pero en los países occidentales la gente no lo son. Probablemente algunas preguntas.

Alguien me dijo que hay personas de ciertas creencias que no pudieron encontrar respuestas a por qué este virus debe afectar solo a ciertas personas y por qué otras personas a escapar de ella. No hay una respuesta a esto. No es un accidente que se termina contraer este virus. Se debe a que algunos en algún karma fue escrito para usted. Por lo tanto, las personas están encontrando respuestas a estas preguntas en espera de larga Sanatana Dharma, en la idea de la teoría de la reencarnación y el karma. La gente está tomando tiempo para entender y aprender acerca de estos conceptos que son muy cierto ya que ninguna de estas religiones, ninguna de estas filosofías, responder a estas preguntas muy básicas. Por lo tanto, la gente está despertando a este nuevo pensamiento y al menos hay una investigación, un cierto interés.

Los cambios de las temporadas son buenas. Como estaciones cambian, algunas plantas tienen a florecer, y algunas plantas que morir. Por lo tanto, siempre he dicho que el bien por sí solo en última instancia sostener, y todo lo demás se derrumba. Espero que bien va a salir de ella. La gente va a ver a través de las debilidades del mundo, lo efímero, la temporalidad de las cosas y probablemente invertir más de su tiempo y su vida en cosas que son más perdurable como sus relaciones buenas, el servicio, la compasión, la bondad. Ellos comenzarán a hacer que a medida que su inversión, no sólo los edificios y propiedades muertos. Así que, de alguna manera esto va a suceder. No hay duda de ello. Muchas, muchas personas se despiertan a esta idea, especialmente las generaciones más jóvenes que están aquí para explorar.

Espero que los estadounidenses están pensando de esta manera también, al menos, el miedo está haciendo pensar de esta manera. Todo el mundo se ve afectado. Es bueno para Estados Unidos, si ayuda al resto del mundo. Si piensan egoístamente sólo se ahorra a los estadounidenses y otros no, mañana no van a ser capaces de viajar y hacer negocios o hacer nada con el resto del mundo. Todos debemos saber que estamos en el mismo barco. Todos necesitamos ayuda mutuamente para sobrevivir.

El espíritu de la India es muy resistente. La cultura de la India ha sido muy resistente ya que es una antigua civilización. Ha estado aquí para las edades. A pesar de varios cambios, gobernantes e invasiones, ha sobrevivido. Indianidad nunca ha muerto y que está llevando a cabo la indianidad en conjunto a todo el mundo. Creo que hay más unidad en la gente de aquí y que están preocupados por los demás y por supuesto que tienen miedo también. De repente se les ha sacudido a cabo de esta ensoñación que todo va a seguir como está. No es verdad. Para la nueva generación, es una nueva experiencia ya que nunca han visto nada como esto en sus vidas. Al menos la vieja generación ha visto alguna hambruna y otras pandemias anteriores, si no en la India, en otro lugar. Pero, para la nueva generación, es una llamada de atención que esto también puede suceder.

Guidance From Swami

In This Discourse

Swami gives us direction on how to lead our lives in these challenging times and how the changes of good are affecting the world and our awareness of a global family. He gives us insight as to how to bring about more compassion, kindness, love and concern for all.

It is time to get to know each other and ourselves better. We are all the time asking, "Who are you, who are you" in the world outside, but forget to ask, "Who am I?" This is a time that everyone is asking "Who am I?" At least, some part of the day they are asking this question, which is important. Otherwise you don't know who the man in the mirror is. You know everybody else. It is a good opportunity for everybody, and I hope all the devotees are making good use of this time when they are able to go inside and ask the right questions like what matters in life and what does not matter. That is my feeling. People should think like that.

We have wound ourselves up in the world for so long, to unwind ourselves it will take some time. We have got stuck in this thorny bush. As you remove thorn by thorn by thorn, the purer you become. The purer you become, the more loving, the more compassionate, the more connected you become. Many people are experiencing this now. This is good, not just for devotees but everybody. People are questioning what this is all about in the world today. This lockdown, this isolation is showing us how everyone is cut off from everything. There is no cure, so their money is of no use today, their relationships are of no use today. You can be a prince or a pauper, you are equally susceptible to this disease.

Nature is telling us that we are all created equal. Your wealth does not make you bigger or smaller, your knowledge does not make you greater or lesser. Some people are at least thinking like this, not all, because it is not possible for everyone to see the world this way. But, in those with even a little spiritual inclination, this idea is getting strengthened now. It is getting nurtured. This is important for the world. I was telling some that we should thank this virus for helping us to understand what matters in life and what doesn't.

Life is so fragile; you can die in the next moment. All your wealth and knowledge cannot stop that from happening. Death will come to you and that is making people awaken to this idea. This will help, as sometimes you need these hard hits otherwise people don't wake up. They slumber away thinking that this way will go on forever and nothing will go wrong as they have money, but that does not hold anymore. This creates fear. But the richer and poorer are becoming equal now.

In the weeks and months from now economies will suffer and all those people who amassed tremendous wealth through properties, stock market, and other investments, they all will see their fortunes dwindle. Suddenly they will realise that the fifty years they worked to build this empire is nothing today because people want food more than five star facilities, people want health more than stock market prices and people want security more than big names and relations. Suddenly all of this will appear like trinkets, it won't make sense. So, at least the majority of the world should wake up to these ideas, this is my thought.

Of course, in Satya Yuga, in Rama's time, there were some demons too. The world is created with duality, but as the numbers become less, it is like a nice rejuvenation of the old ideas. For Western countries especially, it is a must. In Indian countries, we know about many of these things. We know about karma. We know about birth and death. We know about God. We know about reincarnation. In India, people are more used to these ideas but in Western countries people are not. They will probably ask a few questions.

Somebody told me that there are people of certain faiths that could not find answers to why this virus should affect only certain people and why other people escape it. There is no answer to this. It is not an accident that you end up contracting this virus. It happened because some karma somewhere was written for you. So, people are now finding answers to these long pending questions in Sanathana Dharma, in the idea of reincarnation and karma theory. People are taking time to understand and learn about these concepts that are very true as none of these religions, none of these philosophies, answer these very basic questions. So, people are waking up to this new thought and at least there is an inquiry, some interest.

Changes of seasons are good. As seasons change, some plants have to flourish, and some plants have to die. So, I have always said that good alone will ultimately sustain, and everything else will collapse. I hope that good will come out of it. People will see through the frailties of the world, the ephemerality, the temporariness of things and probably invest more their time and their life in things that are more everlasting like their good relationships, service, compassion, kindness. They will start making that as their investment, not just buildings and dead properties. So, someway this thing will happen. There is no doubt about it. Many, many people will awaken to this idea, especially the younger generation who are here to explore.

I hope Americans are thinking this way too, at least the fear is making them think this way. Everybody is affected. It is good for America, if it helps the rest of the world. If they think selfishly to only save Americans and not others, tomorrow they will not be able to travel and do business or do anything with the rest of the world. We all should know that we are in the same boat. We all need to help each other to survive.

The spirit of India is very resilient. Indian culture has been very resilient as it is an ancient civilisation. It has been here for ages. Despite several changes, rulers and invasions, it has survived. Indianness has never died and that Indianness is holding everybody together. I think there is more unity in people here and they are concerned about each other and of course they are afraid too. Suddenly they have been jolted out of this reverie that everything will go on as it is. It is not true. For the new generation, it is a new experience as they have never seen anything like this in their lives. At least the older generation has seen some famine and other pandemics earlier, if not in India, elsewhere. But, for the new generation, it is a wake-up call that this also can happen.
